When shooting in the studio, it is very important to get the correct exposure, because the studio uses flash, and the metering system of our camera can't be used. If there is no external exposure meter, then the required exposure can only be obtained by repeated shooting.

If there is an external exposure meter, it is more convenient to shoot. Generally, the exposure mode of a camera is set to full manual shift (M), the sensitivity is set to the lowest (generally 100), and the shutter value is set below the flash synchronization speed (mostly set to1125 seconds). Then use an external exposure meter to set the sensitivity and shutter value consistent with the camera, and use incident photometry to set the exposure meter at the precise exposure you want. Pay attention to the induction of the exposure meter. The milky ball should face the camera. At this time, press the flash synchronization trigger, the flash will flash, then the exposure instrument will measure the aperture value, and then set the measured aperture value on the camera. In this way, the photometric process is completed, and then the composition, focusing and shooting are completed.
