What should I do if the lens of SLR camera is moldy?

Tool materials: lens paper, lens pen, lens cleaning solution, fresh-keeping box, silicone desiccant.

Method steps:

1. Once the lens is moldy, it needs to be treated quickly to prevent the mold from growing. If mold grows outside the lens, it can be cleaned with lens paper, or wiped with air blowing and lens pen. Don't wipe the lens with a napkin. Because there is wood pulp in the napkin, it will destroy the fragile coating on the lens

2. If it is serious, you can also use 3% hydrogen peroxide to clean it on the mirror paper and pat it gently on the surface of the lens, as long as the hydrogen peroxide is on the lens. Then gently wipe it with mirror paper.

Most lenses are moldy because they are not moistureproof. When the lenses are not used, you can buy a special moistureproof box.

4. If you don't make many moves, you can make a moistureproof box yourself. Buy a bigger sealed fresh-keeping box and buy some color-changing silicone desiccant. When the discoloration of silica gel is observed, it shows that the air humidity in the crisper has become larger. At this time, only a new silica gel desiccant needs to be replaced, and the used desiccant can continue to be used after being heated in the microwave oven.
