Maintenance method of digital camera body and lens

How to maintain and clean digital cameras? Everyone may be concerned about the shooting skills of the camera, but have you ever cared about the maintenance of the camera? In fact, keeping a camera is as learned as buying a camera. Proper equipment and reasonable storage of cameras can prolong the service life and ensure high-quality output. Below I have arranged the maintenance methods of digital cameras for you. Welcome to read the reference!

Digital camera and head maintenance method

Fuselage maintenance

At present, there are only two kinds of materials used for the fuselage shell of digital cameras. One is alloy materials, including aluminum alloy and magnesium alloy. The other is industrial plastic, which has a texture close to that of a metal shell through special surface treatment. Because we hold the machine for a long time, it will inevitably leave oil stains, hand sweat and fingerprints on the fuselage, which will hinder the appearance, so the cleaning of the fuselage surface is very important.

For the alloy shell, be especially careful when wiping, because many camera manufacturers often mirror the shell for beauty. Although it looks noble, it is easy to leave scratches on the surface, so never use paper towels. Be sure to use a soft cloth of superfine fiber. For example, low-priced eye cloth, generally around 3-5 yuan, or 3M magic cloth around 10 yuan. They can be used many times. Once they are dirty, they can be washed with water. However, what needs to be reminded here is that the soft cloth that has been wiped off the fuselage has been polluted, and some of them are even stained with oil stains. Never wipe the lens.

For DC with industrial plastic shell, the fuselage should be cleaned frequently, and oil stains and stains should not penetrate into the paint surface. In addition, do not use any organic solvent to wipe the fuselage. In the past, a friend wiped an oil stain on the camera handle with a cloth, and the oil stain disappeared, but the local shell faded badly.

Maintenance of LCD screen

Nowadays, the screens of digital cameras are getting bigger and bigger, and card machines ranging from 2 inches to 2.5 inches and 3 inches are everywhere. Because the display screen of a digital camera not only plays back photos, but also performs function setting and framing, it goes without saying that it needs special protection.

Ordinary film

On the one hand, it prevents the display screen from being scratched by hard objects. This is mainly because some photographers are used to putting their cameras directly in their bags, and the camera screen rubs against hard objects such as buttons and mobile phones. Although many models of LCD screens are protected by plexiglass, they always feel uncomfortable after being scratched. Because the scratches can't be removed in the later stage, it is necessary to do a good job of protection in the early stage. It is recommended to buy a protective film of the same size when purchasing the machine, so that even if the screen is accidentally scratched by a hard object, it is a big deal to tear the film and paste it again. At present, there are two kinds of this kind of film on the market, one is film pasting, and the price is around 5 yuan; The other is thick film (also called diamond film), the price is around 30 yuan. It should be noted that it is not cheap to buy thick film, otherwise the brightness and color of the screen will be greatly faded after pasting.

Diamond film

On the other hand, remove oil stains and dust on the surface. This mostly appears on digital SLR cameras. Because the LCD screen can't be used for framing, it is easy for the face to touch the screen surface when framing, thus leaving oil stains. In this case, we don't recommend frequent wiping, because too much wiping is easy to scratch the screen. Of course, if the protective film is attached in advance, it can also be wiped with the same cleaning cloth as the fuselage, but the strength should be light. If there is dust on the screen surface, it is best to blow it with leather first.

As one of the most precise components in the whole camera, the daily maintenance of the lens is directly related to the output of high-quality photos, especially the lens of SLR cameras. Let me introduce the tools and uses of lens cleaning to you first.

First of all, as one of the most traditional lens cleaning tools, lens paper has the advantages of extremely fine fiber, soft paper and low cost, so it really won the favor of most photographers in the early days. At present, the price of a book 10 is around 2 yuan. I don't use lens paper much now. On the one hand, the price is cheaper, and the quality of paper is getting worse. On the other hand, the softness of paper can never be compared with that of cloth. However, if you encounter stubborn stains, you can use disposable lens paper, fold it into a triangle, and wipe the lens surface with a little distilled water in one corner.

Followed by suede, which is also one of the traditional lens cleaning tools, has been completely eliminated. The reason is that although the price is cheap, it is still unclean and depressing to rub around.

Most users who use lens pens are high-end users. Of course, there are also mini-lens pens designed for small-caliber lenses, but the price of more than 50 yuan is prohibitive. The working principle of lens pen is to use the grinding effect of toner to clean it. Because the hardness of toner is much lower than that of lens coating, it will not harm the lens, and it is the best lens cleaning tool at present. At the other end is a brush. Lenspen brand lens pens have the highest market share, and the price is around 70 yuan. At the same price, MINIPRO and DIGIKLEAR are first-class products.

The most important tool for cleaning the lens is blowing, which is also the first process and the most commonly used tool for cleaning the lens. To judge the quality of a blowing, we mainly consider the gas storage capacity, material and airflow principle. The most traditional medical ear washing ball, that is, the leather tiger, is the cheapest blowing at present. Its price is only 5 yuan, but it feels bad, and the air inlet and outlet are universal, which is easy to cause circular pollution. The price of mid-range hair dryer is around 20-30 yuan, and the price of high-end Swiss AF hair dryer is around 60 yuan. They all adopt independent air inlet and air outlet designs, and the main difference is the feel and workmanship.

The last thing to mention is the lens water. Maybe everyone has a cleaning kit given by the dealer when buying a camera, including the so-called lens water. Here, the author reminds everyone that the water composition of this lens is unknown, and the whole set price is around 20 yuan. It's probably tap water that fools people! The lens of consumer digital cameras does not need to use lens water. For some SLR lenses, it is not recommended unless absolutely necessary. Even if you want to buy it, it is recommended to buy imported lens water. The famous HAMA lens water is made in Germany, bottled 15 ml, and the price is 70 yuan; Kodak lens water, the main components are water and carbomer, and the price of a small bottle is around 80 yuan; Zeiss's lens water is the most famous in China. For the convenience of use, Zeiss wet lens cloth is also sold, and the price is within 100 yuan.

Daily lens maintenance does not mean wiping the lens every day. Tiny dust and water stains on the lens surface have little effect on imaging. You mustn't expect to wipe the lens out of the factory. For the lens of consumer digital camera with small aperture ratio, it is enough to blow off the dust on the lens surface with air. If you encounter a stain that can't be blown off in a large area, you can gently wipe it with a lens cloth (blow it first and then wipe it, the order should not be wrong, and the steps should not be less). If it is a SLR lens, it is better to wipe it with a lens pen, usually from the middle of the lens to the periphery in a spiral circle. One thing to be reminded here is that the lens pen is specially designed for optical lenses and cannot be used on wet surfaces, especially when dipped in water, otherwise it will fade.

If you need to clean the lens with lens water, you should prepare cotton in advance. First, make 3-5 smaller cotton balls and press them into cakes, the size of which is one third of that of the mirror, and then prepare 3-5 large cotton balls and press them into cakes, the size of which is two thirds of that of the mirror. Dip a small cotton ball into a small amount of lens water, and then spiral wipe the lens surface from the center. Then, when the lens water is still wet, wipe it with a big cotton ball in the same way.

Battery maintenance

After using the camera, most photographers habitually put the camera in a camera bag or cabinet, and the battery is not taken out for separate storage. This seems to be no problem, but it is not conducive to battery protection.

Usually, if you don't use the camera for more than 15 days, it's best to take the battery out of the camera and store it in a dry and cool place alone. Don't store the battery with metal objects.

According to our investigation, most digital cameras on the market now use lithium batteries, which are relatively convenient to store. The only thing to note is that if you don't use it for a long time, it is best to activate the battery every two months, that is, charge and discharge it once, which can effectively extend the battery life.

As for Ni-MH-5 battery, the most annoying thing is the memory effect, which will reduce the total capacity and service life of the battery, and with the passage of time, the stored charge will be less and less, and the battery consumption will be faster and faster. Therefore, try to use up the electricity before charging, and be sure to fully charge it before cutting off the power supply.

If you use alkaline batteries temporarily when you go out, you must remember to take them out in time, otherwise, once you don't use them for a long time, the batteries will easily leak and corrode the circuit, and the camera will be scrapped.

Preservation of photographic equipment

The preservation of cameras has always been a small problem. It is windy and dusty in the north and too humid in the south. If you put the camera in your bag or naked on the table for a long time, it will affect the performance of the camera over time, so how to create a good storage environment for the camera?

Fresh-keeping storage compartment

I want to introduce this from three different grades. For low-priced consumer-grade digital cameras, it is obviously not worth the loss if you buy a professional drying oven to store them, so I suggest using a better sealed lunch box to store them. These can be found in large supermarkets. The volume can be adjusted freely according to the camera size, and the price ranges from 15-30 yuan. If you are in a southern city, you can buy a small bag of desiccant and put it in the rainy season to dehumidify (if you go to the seaside or where the air is humid, you'd better dehumidify the camera after you come back).

Ordinary drying box

Electronic drying oven

For those users who use high-end consumer digital cameras and entry-level digital SLR cameras, I suggest buying ordinary plastic drying boxes. This kind of plastic drying oven is small in size, but it is absolutely no problem to keep one machine with three heads. The price is generally around 100- 150 yuan, and the drying oven with higher price is usually equipped with a hygrometer. As for the drying problem, color-changing silica gel can be used to solve it. Its appearance is blue particles, and the color changes from blue to red after moisture absorption. Generally, photographic equipment is sold in the market and chemical stores. It is absolutely no problem to use a large box for half a year. Its price is about 15 yuan, and it can be heated, dehydrated and reused in a micro furnace, and the effect is very good!

According to the regulations of the International Camera Industry Association, when the temperature is higher than 10℃ or the humidity is higher than 60%RH, mold will breed. Therefore, it is necessary for enthusiasts who use high-end equipment, especially high-end lenses, to buy more sophisticated electronic drying ovens. This drying oven can be divided into low-temperature electronic moistureproof box and normal-temperature electronic moistureproof box. Normal temperature electronic oven adopts suction electronic automatic moisture-proof system and adopts suction dehumidification at normal temperature, which has the characteristics that dehumidification efficiency is not affected by environmental temperature, and is the mainstream product of electronic oven in the market at present. Mainstream brands include Fanuc and Dr. Gan, with prices ranging from 300 yuan to 2,000 yuan. However, considering the economy and practicality, 40 liters is the most suitable for ordinary players.
