In order to find a new path for overall green development in ecologically fragile and underdeveloped areas, in August 2015, the Xining Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government decided to use 6,540 acres of industrial land for the construction of the Xining Garden Expo. It is understood that from 2015 to 2019, Doba New City completed a total fixed asset investment of 18.494 billion yuan, of which ecological construction investment accounted for a large proportion.

In order to provide a good ecological carrier for the Garden Expo, 137 million yuan has been invested to carry out comprehensive environmental improvement and ecological restoration and protection projects for the Jiaochang River in the Huangshui Basin, so that local biodiversity will be effectively protected, and water and soil will be protected. While the water loss has been curbed, the hydrological sediment distribution situation of the river has been improved to a certain extent;

In order to reduce the sediment content and secondary geological disasters in the Huangshui River, a total investment of 250 million yuan was carried out to carry out the Xinachuan River The ecological comprehensive management project has increased the vegetation coverage rate in the project area, reduced soil wind erosion, and increased the ability to conserve water sources and maintain water and soil;

In order to improve the river environment and water quality, the Huangshui River in Huangzhong The river management project in the county section is under construction. In order to achieve more reasonable development and utilization of water and land resources, 102 million yuan was invested to carry out the comprehensive ecological management project of the Gan River. The implementation of the project improved local production conditions and enhanced the flood control capacity of the Gan River. After greening the environment on both sides of the river, it also improved the quality of the city;

To improve the overall ecological environment of Duoba New City, so that mud does not flow down the mountain and water does not flow out of the ditch, the new area has a total investment of 320 million yuan to comprehensively manage 11 surrounding ditches, mainly implementing mountain vegetation restoration and planting, preventing soil loss and erosion, etc. The total area of ??the project is about 1019.57 hectares. After the project is implemented, the forest and grass coverage rate will reach more than 90%.

In urban development, education comes first. To provide strong support for economic and social development, Xincheng has established the new Duoba Campus of Huangzhong District Vocational Education covering an area of ??314 acres. The first phase mainly constructs comprehensive buildings, training buildings, canteens, apartments for boys and girls, wind and rain playgrounds, sports fields and The outdoor project has been completed and delivered for use. At the same time, the Qingyuan School in Duoba Town was built to solve the education problem of about 3,000 students and greatly alleviate the shortage of teaching resources in Duoba area.

In terms of other infrastructure, New Town has successively started construction of a number of livelihood projects for the people and benefiting the people in the past five years.
