abstract

In Washington, D.C. in 2054, the human judicial system has "evolved" to predict crimes and arrest criminals who will commit crimes before they happen! This ability to "predict crime" benefits from the development of a kind of "psychological technology", for example, computers have the ability to display the most secret thoughts of human beings. Jean-anderton, a police officer in Washington, DC, has been using this psychological technology as a legal weapon to arrest criminals. He never questioned the system, but one day he was suddenly wanted as a "criminal" The hunter suddenly became a prey, and anderton had to find evidence to prove his innocence in the escape. ...

In the process of Jon's desperate escape, he learned that the government used three supercomputer "judges" with human brain intelligent thinking mode to predict and perceive criminal intentions. Whether a person's charges are finally established or not, the decision is no longer in the hands of the grand jury, but only by these three "judges" to judge the life and death of the defendant. When two "judges" are convicted and the other "judge" holds the opposite opinion, if the judgment of the last "judge" (that is, "minority") is correct, then the opinion of this "judge" is called "minority report".

Three "judges" disagreed on Jon's conviction, and one of them decided that he was innocent. So, Jon, exhausted by many capable agents, can use this "minority report" to prove his innocence?

Behind the scenes production

Behind the scenes: think tanks create a "real" 2054 Steven Allan Spielberg has long intended to reflect everything around us in daily life-especially Washington, D.C., where the story unfolds-and get a glimpse of the future through the visual effects of Minority Report.

In order to fully show his imagination of the future, Spielberg invited many experts to sketch the future with him. Spielberg pointed out: "I think it is best to bring together elites in engineering technology, environment, crime fighting, medicine, health, social welfare services, transportation, computer technology and other fields to discuss what the future will look like in half a century."

From scientists like John Underkoffler of Massachusetts Institute of Technology to urban planners, architects, inventors and writers (such as Douglas Coupland, author of Generation X), this think tank gathered in a hotel in Santa Monica, California for three days and had a full discussion, describing some details of our society and technology in the near future. Present were producer and playwright Scott Frank, as well as production designer alex mcdowell and his team members. Mcdowell recalled: "We sat around a room and discussed in detail what kind of influence, change, popularity and final appearance our society will have in five, ten, twenty and thirty years. We know that we must work hard to find the answers to these questions in order to better satisfy the taste of a consumer. "

The topics discussed revolve around the development of medicine, including how people will brush their teeth, transportation, urban planning, architecture and art. Bonnie Curtis, the producer of this film, pointed out: "Steven Allan Spielberg wants to know the familiar background, the problems we may be involved in, and some interesting props we are familiar with.

This may make us understand that truth is often in the hands of a few people.
