We should know that the violent oxidation process of engine oil is based on high temperature environment, so the oxidation of engine oil that is not usually opened is not rapid. For example, as you said in the title, you don't drive much at ordinary times, and you can't run 10 thousand a year (I estimate it is several thousand). It can be said that your car has been parked in the basement for a long time. In this process, the oil can hardly touch the sulfur in the air, the nitrogen oxides in the air and the sulfide in the fuel. Because there is no start-up and high-temperature catalysis, the parking period should not be counted in oxidation stage. Remember, the oil gradually fails in a high temperature environment (contact with impurities), rather than being stored naturally, so your car usually uses less, and it is no problem to maintain and change the oil once a year. . . As for the suggestion, I can say that I have no scruples about it. It takes 18 months to replace mineral oil, and generally it takes at least 14 months to fully synthesize (the vehicle is insured). I'm unscrupulous, I'm not afraid of breaking down, and I've never broken down (even if it breaks down, there's room to repair it), so I've always opposed the so-called standard oil change method (all the oil collected is cheap). More expensive is not only the more advanced base oil, but also the formula. . .
