According to official website's inquiry, Wuhan Media College is a full-time private undergraduate college approved by the Ministry of Education, with six majors: photography, visual communication design, environmental design, digital media art, drama, film and television art design and animation. Wuhan Media College was established in June 2004 with the approval of the Ministry of Education. Its predecessor was Wuhan Film and Television Engineering College of Huazhong Normal University. In March 2007, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, it was renamed Wuhan Media College of Huazhong Normal University, which was jointly organized by Huazhong Normal University and Shenzhen Tianyou Investment Co., Ltd.
