Introduction to Pengpu Town
Pengpu Town is located in the north-central part of Jing'an District, adjacent to Wanrong Road and Daning Street in the east, Laohutai in the south, Hutai Road in the west, and borders Putuo District and Baoshan District. North Vietnam Changzhong Road, to the junction of Dachang and Pengpu Xincun Street. The whole territory is about 3.9 kilometers long from north to south and 2 kilometers wide from east to west. The town covers an area of ??7.88 square kilometers. Pengpu Town currently has a registered population of about 76,000. In the 1960s, Comrade Mao Zedong once wrote an inscription for Baiyiqiao Village in Pengpu Town. After the reform and opening up, Pengpu Town vigorously developed township enterprises. In the early 1990s, it became a famous suburban town worth 100 million yuan, and its per capita income ranked among the best in the suburbs for several consecutive years.
