Three development stages of photogrammetry

1, analog photogrammetry:

Analog photogrammetry is mainly completed by stereo mapper. These instruments all use optical projectors, mechanical projectors or optical-mechanical projectors to "simulate" the photographic process and use them to intersect the spatial position of the subject. It was not until 1970s that analog photogrammetry was started in China.

2. Analytical photogrammetry;

With the development of analytical photogrammetry, the application of topographic photogrammetry and non-topographic photogrammetry is no longer limited to analog surveying and mapping instruments. It can shoot various targets in various ways with photographic instruments to study and monitor the shape, geometric position and orbit measurement of dynamic targets.

3, digital photogrammetry:

The main differences between digital photogrammetry and analog photogrammetry and analytical photogrammetry are: the original information it processes can be not only photos, but also digital images or digitized images; In the end, it replaced the stereoscopic observation of human eyes with computer vision, so it only used computers and corresponding peripheral devices. Another difference is that digital photogrammetry products are digital or visual products, while traditional products are only analog outputs of digital products.
