Jilong town travel guide

Geelong Town is located at the junction of China and Nepal. A group of simple and kind people live here. The town is not big, but it looks very prosperous and quiet. Everyone is filled with a happy smile. Everyone feels the legend given by life here. Let's share a detailed introduction.

The destination of today's trip is Geelong Town. I want to see the scenery at the southern foot of the Himalayas again to alleviate altitude sickness. I lived in Gangga town at an altitude of 4300 meters last night. I didn't fall asleep in the middle of the night, but I fell asleep at about 3-4 o'clock. It seems that there is still a reaction above 4 km above sea level, and adjustments should be made in low altitude areas. Jilong Town is 2793 meters above sea level, which is a good adjustment point.

It passes through Mashan Scenic Area in Xixia State, which is the only mountain in China with an altitude of over 8,000 meters. I didn't go in because it wasn't planned. I thought I could see the mountain from a distance, because I saw it on the way to climb Mount Everest yesterday, but I don't know where it is hidden today.

Pekucuo, the lake is 4590 meters above sea level. It is said that you can see the reflection of Ma Feng in Xixia State. We walked around the lake for a long time, but we couldn't get near it. It seems that the water level is falling.

Geelong County gave me the impression that it is at the southern foot of the Himalayas, but I didn't expect to cross the 5,236-meter Kongtangula Mountain to enter the southern foot of the Himalayas. Mount Kongtangram has become an obstacle to the contact between Jilong County and the mainland. Fortunately, the Kongtang Ram Mountain Tunnel is currently under construction, and in the near future, it is no longer necessary to climb 5000 meters over the mountains.

It is also located at the southern foot of the Himalayas, but the landform and vegetation of Jilong County are slightly different from those of Chayu, Medog and Yadong. Crossing the Contonggula Mountain and entering the Zangbo Gorge in Geelong, you won't immediately see the green at the southern foot of the Himalayas, but it is still a desolate rock.

Down to about 4,500 to 4,000 kilometers, there are some alpine plants, and the vegetation below 3,500 meters begins to be rich, and around 3,000 meters, dense virgin forests appear, with tall and straight pine trees and dark green. In the Gyirong Zangbo Gorge, which is just 50-60 kilometers, the vertical difference of landform and vegetation is remarkable, such as no green, semi-green to full green, drought, semi-dry to wet, short distance and great difference, which is not found in the Yarlung Zangbo Gorge in Medog and Yadong. Gyirong Zangbo Canyon has a stronger visual impact and gives people a deeper feeling. Why is the Jilong Zangbo Canyon, also located at the southern foot of the Himalayas, different?

Nai Village in Geelong Town is a paradise for photographers. My photography skills are limited and I can't show its natural beauty. It can be inferred from the spectacular and steep Panshan Highway entering the village that Nai Village is unconventional. Don't think Nai Village is located on the top of the mountain. At the end of Panshan Road is Gao Tai Plain, and Naicun is the protagonist of this big highland platform.

Fertile fields, grasslands, swamps and forests are perfect conditions for human survival. Looking up, the mountains and snow peaks are magnificent, guarding this quiet paradise; Overlooking, Geelong Town is like a dish on the dining table, beautiful and lovely. Yes, but what is it?

Geelong is a town on the border between China and Nepal. After the earthquake in Nepal, the Sino-Nepalese highway was interrupted and Zhangmu town was also greatly damaged. The port was closed and residents moved to Shigatse. Geelong Port has become the only road transport port in China and Nepal. At present, Geelong Port is temporarily closed due to the epidemic.

Stay in Geelong town at night, at an altitude of 2800 meters.

Over the 5,236-meter Kontangram Mountain and into the southern foothills of the Himalayas.

The valley at the south foot is narrow, with cliffs on both sides. 2 16 national highway runs through the canyon with a speed limit of 20-30 kilometers. All kinds of rugged rocks are abrupt, like uncanny valley.

With the decrease of altitude, vegetation began to enrich.

The peaks on both sides of the canyon were locked by fog, and it rained lightly from time to time. The Gyirong Zangbo Canyon began to show its beauty.
