Why is caiman a disgrace to crocodiles?

The caiman is one of the smallest crocodiles. Crocodiles whose bite force is lower than the same size are easily hunted by big cats such as jaguars, so they are called the shame of crocodiles.

Like sea crocodiles, caiman is covered with bone scales, and its whole body color is dark brown, but the most obvious thing is that its body is distributed with extremely pale yellow and white stripes. However, the most distinctive thing about the Caiman is that there is a very prominent bone between its eyes. It seems that the whole eye is wearing a spectacle frame, so some foreigners call it a spectacle crocodile.

Life habits of caiman crocodiles

Compared with other crocodiles, caiman has the worst hunting ability, so its main food is small vertebrates, and it likes fish and aquatic vertebrates best. Like most crocodiles, they ambush their prey in the water, while the fish are driven to shallow water by Cayman crocodiles. When I was a child, Caiman was dominated by insects, and especially liked to eat Coleoptera insects, even shrimps, crabs and snails.
