Can film be kept permanently in the freezer of the refrigerator?

It can't be stored permanently, and it can't be put in the freezer, which will cause the film to stick and eventually break. It should be kept in the freezer.

The validity period is usually one year, but the membrane just delivered from the factory is not the best membrane. The photosensitive substance in the photosensitive layer of film will change chemically with the passage of time, which will tend to be stable after a period of time, change again after a period of stability, and then fail. The color tone of newly-manufactured films is often blue or green. Generally, films that are 6~ 10 months away from the due date perform best. Therefore, experienced photographers put the film at a dry room temperature of about 20℃ and put it in the refrigerator (freezer) immediately after the optimal period, which can effectively extend the optimal period, and the film needs to be preheated when used.
