Academy of Fine Arts, Hunan Normal University, I; Founded in 1958, it is the oldest institution of higher art in Hunan Province. At present, it is one of the eight "national sports art teacher training bases" in China. It has three undergraduate majors: fine arts, art design and painting, and has the right to award doctoral degrees in fine arts (scientific degrees), master degrees in art theory, fine arts, design, curriculum and teaching theory (scientific degrees), fine arts, pedagogy and higher education. The Art and Design College of Yanshan University, which originated from the industrial modeling major of Northeast Heavy Machinery Institute, was founded in 1993, and the Art Department was founded in 200 1. In 2004, the College of Art was established, and in 2008, it was renamed the College of Art and Design. After nearly 20 years of unremitting efforts and struggles, the college has formed a relatively complete discipline system and a certain school scale. Now it has two first-class master's authorized disciplines, namely, art, music and dance, a second-class master's authorized discipline of design art (industrial design, art design direction), and a master's authorized field of industrial design engineering, offering product design (art), industrial design (science and engineering), environmental design, visual communication design and art design.
