How to shoot a macro without a macro lens

Lead: If they are not eco-macro enthusiasts, they will not deliberately buy a macro lens. But if there is a sudden chance, I want to shoot something macro, but I don't want to invest so much. What's the best way? Let's take a look at how to shoot macro without a macro lens. Let's have a look!

Use telescopic tubes.

Close-up rings are one of the cheap options. Its principle is very simple, that is, the distance between the lens and the focal plane is widened to produce an enlarged effect. Close-up rings with different thicknesses have different amplification effects. Most of the close-up rings you see are sold in groups of three. Because the close-range ring is actually just a cylindrical ring with no optical structure inside, so ... you can buy it from the vice factory (but the more expensive original close-range ring will have AF function). Because the light entering distance is different, the light entering amount will be reduced, so it is necessary to compensate the exposure when shooting, and the shutter will naturally slow down, so it is best to equip a tripod when connecting the close-range ring.

Close-up filter

The function is similar to the close-up ring, however, one is placed at the filter position and the other is behind the lens. However, because the close-range filter has an extra lens, the optical quality will vary with the lens quality.

Turn the camera upside down

You can buy a reverse adapter, turn the lens upside down and plug in the camera. Generally speaking, we will take the standard mirror as the benchmark, because usually the magnification of a standard lens of 50mm will be 1: 1, and the magnification of a lens with a shorter focal length (for example, 35mm/28mm) will be greater.

However, there is a disadvantage of this shooting method, that is, because the design of the lens is reversed, the edge quality of the shot will be reduced to a certain extent.

Buy a small DC

(Laughter) If you want to shoot macro by other methods than macro lens, you probably don't like friends who shoot macro very much. All the above three methods can achieve the purpose of shooting macro, but some problems will occur to some extent, such as the decrease of incident light, which requires exposure compensation (slow shutter), or the deterioration of image quality due to the reversal of optical structure or the addition of additional optical lenses. So if you want a good picture quality and don't want to cause trouble, you'd better have a small DC (laughs).
