What is a master photographer?

A master photographer means that your work must be a blockbuster, you must be representative, have the right to speak, and even occupy an important position in a certain photography field.

For example, kappa and Bresson in battlefield/documentary photography;

Nishikawa Kazuhisa of camera/evaluation;

Others were rated as "porn photographers", such as Nobuyoshi Araki, Yasunari Mihara, Terry Richardson, etc. They are all masters in their respective fields.

For example, those in Liu Jianan, China are the same, so I won't elaborate more.

There are only a handful of photographers who can be called masters. Do not pursue this title. The most important thing is to do your own thing, because not everyone can become a master, but the master's ideas and working methods can give you some reference and even affect your photography personality.

If you are interested, you can learn about the BBC /BBC documentary "One Hundred Years of Photography Art" released in 2007, which introduces influential or master figures in the history of photography. The only one in Asia is Nobuyoshi Araki.
