Photography skills of shooting children on the grass
Aperture: f/5.6 Speed:11600s Focus: 85mm ISO:400.
Aperture: f/2.2 Speed:11600s Focus: 85mm ISO:400.
This group of photos are fresh and bright in color, and some watercolors are effective, so this feature was retained in the later period, but the saturation and contrast were increased on the basis of the original picture. In order to create an atmosphere, white light was hand-painted in photoshop later. This beam of light separates the subject from the background of the picture, making the subject more prominent.
Aperture: f/2.2 Speed:11000s Focus: 85mm ISO:400.
The child's bright and focused eyes touched me and immediately pressed the shutter to freeze the moment. The baby's hands are surrounded by rabbit dolls. Children can capture many natural expressions and actions when interacting with small animals.
Aperture: f/5.6 Speed:11600s Focus: 85mm ISO:400.
I want to add some color to make the picture more vivid. The red cherry in the child's hand balances the large area of green in the picture and is "a little red in all green".
Aperture: f/2 speed: 1/320s focal length: 85mm ISO: 1000.
The hat is in the shape of a small fox, creating a feeling of being an elf in the forest and adding some fairy tale atmosphere to the picture. When shooting against the light, enlarge the aperture as much as possible. The larger the aperture, the higher the degree of light diffusion, the stronger the dream feeling and the more beautiful the facula effect.
Aperture: f/2 speed: 1/640s focal length: 85mm ISO: 1000.
When this photo was taken, there was not enough light in the Woods, and a reflector was needed to make up the light. The reflector should be as large as possible, and the assistant should change the angle and height of the reflector to ensure that it can reflect sunlight. At this time, it is suitable for taking photos with small motion range to avoid the situation of virtual film.
Aperture: f/2 speed: 1/640s focal length: 85mm ISO: 1000.
Sunlight penetrates through the leaves and forms mottled bright spots on the ground. Later, by increasing the color temperature, the picture was warmer and the color was too soft, forming an oil painting-like color and texture.
Aperture: f/2.2 speed: 1/400s focal length: 85mm ISO: 1000.
The color temperature of this photo is cold, creating a feeling of humidity after the rain. The moss on the ground and the mushrooms that have just grown after the rain make people relaxed and happy.
Aperture: f/2.2 speed: 1/400s focal length: 85mm ISO: 1000.
The guide told the baby not to touch the mushrooms, so the baby deliberately reached out and touched them to see what we would do. What a naughty elf!
Aperture: f/2.2 speed: 1/400s focal length: 85mm ISO: 1000.
The child's head is illuminated by sunlight, so the dreamy silhouette light is formed because of the backlight shooting, while the face is in the soft light blocked by the shade, and the bright and mottled lighting effect is obtained, which makes the picture have a comfortable light contrast.
equipment list
Camera: Canon EOS 5D Mark III
Lens: 85mm f/ 1.2
Reflector: 1.2m oval silver reflector.
Select the location according to the theme.
The theme of this shoot is "the spirit in the forest", and I want to create a dreamy pastoral effect.
On the exterior, I chose a forest park with dense vegetation and large fields of flowers. This is an ideal location.
Shooting in the shade can not only effectively avoid strong light, but also form interesting spots through the gaps of leaves. Clever use of mottled light and shadow can achieve dramatic light and shadow effects and add unusual beauty to the picture.
Yellow sunflowers are dotted in a green leaf, which is blurred by a large aperture to form a color effect similar to watercolor.
Background environment is a special modeling language, which can highlight the theme to the maximum extent by contrast or suggestion, and help us to tell the artistic conception and emotion that the work wants to express.
Cloudy means two possibilities.
Cloudy weather is very suitable for shooting location. Clouds, like white gauze, can block the direct sunlight and create a perfect soft light-playing the role of a soft light box. However, in cloudy weather, sometimes the sun will show its head to meet you. This determines that shooting location on cloudy days should deal with two lighting conditions at the same time-bright and dark.
1, shooting against the light in the sun
When there is sunshine, I will choose to shoot against the light. Different sunlight intensities will produce different backlight effects. The prime time for backlight shooting is in the evening, before sunset 1 ~ 2 hours. At this time, the sunset light is soft and golden, and the contrast between the characters and the background is small, which is easy to create an artistic picture. At this time, the light forms a 45-degree angle with the text. I usually let my baby turn his back to the sun to form a beautiful side light, and use the light reflected by the reflector as the main light to illuminate the characters. Another advantage of backlighting is that people's faces can avoid sunlight, and their expressions are more natural and will not squint.
Correct exposure is very important in any shooting method. When using the Auto Exposure function, the camera will automatically read the light quantity, but in some cases, manual intervention is also needed. I took this set of photos with a relatively fast shutter speed and a large aperture. I set the camera to shutter priority, change the shutter speed, and of course I can choose aperture priority mode. Once the automatic exposure instrument determines the amount of light, it will produce a fixed ratio of aperture and shutter speed. When you change the aperture or shutter speed, the other one will automatically change to supplement the light and get the correct exposure. Of course, exposure is a matter of personal preference and is also determined by the effect you want to achieve.
2. Low light shooting under cloudy conditions
On cloudy days, the light is soft and the contrast between light and shade is small. I will choose the aperture as large as possible to shoot. Through the blur effect of large aperture, the relationship between foreground, people and vision is highlighted. At this time, it is usually not necessary to fill the light with a reflector. Only when children bow their heads, they need to fill some light to make their faces more transparent.
On cloudy days, the forest is in a weak light environment and the light distribution is uneven. There will be sunlight shining through the leaves. At this time, let the child turn his back to the light to avoid the formation of messy spots on his face. In low light conditions, it is necessary to improve the sensitivity, which will lose some details and some noise, but it can be moderately exposed. At this time, the shutter speed and fixed focus speed will be slower.
Because the light on cloudy days is not beautiful enough, we should try our best to add points to the photos through some beautiful composition and the relationship between reality and reality with large aperture.
skill
When the sensitivity setting is high, "noise" will appear in the whole image, especially in the dark parts. When the pixels in the image lose smoothness during the transition, the noise is a speckle state. Using "speckle-removing" filter in digital editing software can be repaired to some extent, but too much noise can't be repaired.
Location and color of natural light
There are many techniques to control the way light falls on an object. The simplest method is to change the position of the subject under the light source. We can choose different backgrounds to control the way natural light shines on the subject.
Natural light (sunlight) is usually softer than artificial light because sunlight is scattered by particles in the atmosphere. Sunlight will also be refracted in all directions through natural surfaces such as clouds and water, as well as countless artificial surfaces. During the day, the form of sunlight is always changing, and we can greatly change the appearance of the subject by changing the position of the camera or the subject in the light.
In different seasons and at different times of the day, sunlight will produce different "color temperatures". The white light at noon is the benchmark to measure the color temperature. During the day, the sunshine in the morning and evening is warm, and the shadow cast by the sunshine at noon is very blue. The ultraviolet rays in the morning will give way to the infrared rays in the afternoon, and the orange light will peak at sunset. The sunshine is blue in winter and red in summer. Different color temperatures will show different color emotions in the image. For digital cameras, the white balance function can be used to eliminate or emphasize the color of light.
