When did China begin to have color photos?

1944 color reversal film shot in Kunming, China.

In May, 2004, Kunming exhibited 250 color photos, which were appraised by experts from the National Museum of China, and were the earliest color photos found in China so far.

These photos were taken in Kunming, China, on 1944 by two American soldiers who assisted China, Mr. Clinton Mi Le and Mr. Robert Burcher. Now they have been given to the National Museum of China for free.

The earliest color photo in the world was taken in Maxwell, England (Maxwell 1 861–1879) in1year. The first color photo is a plaid ribbon.

Extended data:

In China, color photos became popular in the late 1970s and early 1980s, and in China's first tier cities. If popularization means widespread use, it is to use non-digital cameras first and then digital cameras.

Its spread is not only determined by the film price, because color development is not something we can do by ourselves, so it depends on the development of supporting facilities, so it was really widely used in China in the 1990s, because printing equipment began to be widely used.
