Overview of the Blue Box

The so-called "Blue Box" is a digital studio. The ceiling, floor and walls of the filming area are all painted with blue paint. The actors seem to be put into a big blue box when they are in it. According to reports, all blue in the image can be masked during post-production, so that the actors seem to be performing in a "vacuum". The scenes, props, etc. are all made in the computer and then combined with the actors. For example, in "2012", the scene of cars running wildly through an earthquake-ridden city was done in this way.
