A mountaineering bag with the same capacity below 500 yuan and a bag of about 2000? Is there any obvious difference behind your back?

Of course there is a difference. Don't underestimate the backpack. It is also famous, not to mention the differences in quality fabrics, and the prices of different capacities and different performances are also very different.

It depends on your requirements.

According to the structure of the backpack system, it is divided into: outer frame bag, inner frame bag and soft bag.

Outer frame bag

As the name implies, the supporting structure is outside the bag, and now it is often used to carry heavy objects, or to carry materials without straps with backpack supports. Many backpackers use this simple structure. There is a great distance between the backpack and the back, and it is well ventilated.

Inner frame bag

Generally, stents are made of alloy rods made of aluminum, titanium, carbon fiber or stainless steel and plastic plates designed according to human body curves. This load-bearing structure makes people's stress more scientific and improves the possibility of increasing load. Because the load is closer to the back, it is more balanced and stable when walking on difficult terrain.

Soft roll

Only shoulder straps and belts, no supporting structure. This kind of bag is often used in light load situations, such as playing around the camp, urban leisure and so on.

According to the purpose of packaging:

According to the design and professional level, the use of bags is usually divided into general camping, professional mountaineering and daily backpacks, leisure bags, special bags for photography and other special bags.

Camping bags usually carry tents, sleeping bags, moisture-proof mats, stoves, spare clothes, food and water. It is required to have an independent sleeping bag bin and sufficient volume (between 45 liters and 75 liters), comfortable shoulder straps, wide belts and complete adjustment design, including an integral shoulder strap height adjustment belt (adjusted according to the back length), a center of gravity adjustment belt on the shoulder strap, an adjustable chest strap, a length adjustment belt at the lower part of the shoulder strap and a lifting top bag.

Professional mountaineering bags need some professional designs, including isolation layers or hooks, to put some technical products such as helmets, trekking poles and crampons, and also need to be more firm and comfortable.

Daily backpack is a one-day bag for urban tourism and surrounding areas. It needs a volume of 25 to 35 liters and can carry simple spare clothes, food, camera and water. Strong and comfortable, the best design should be a belt to reduce the stress on the shoulder strap, so that people will not get tired quickly.

The special bag for photography is designed according to the size and shape of photographic equipment.

There are also running bags and cycling bags that are very close to the back, so that they will not bump when exercising, and the storage location of water bags.

Also consider the frequency of use. If you use it frequently, you should choose a bag with higher price and greater comprehensive strength in design and fabric. If you use it occasionally, choose an economical and practical bag.

How to choose a backpack that suits you?

1) Determine the size of the backpack (backpack capacity)

We usually use liters (L) as the unit of backpack size or capacity, and some countries also use cubic inches (CUIN) as the unit (1000 cubic inches is about 16 liters).

Under 45L: This capacity is suitable for ladies to use, and it is suitable for camping and hiking in warm seasons with good weather 1 to 2 days. It can also be used as an activity or mountaineering bag around the base camp.

50-70 liters: it can support long-term travel and hiking in spring, summer and autumn, and can be filled with tents and other equipment and more warm clothes and food. There are many options for this ability.

70-95 liters: If you are a male and decide to buy only one pack, you can choose from this range. This capacity should be able to cope with all the equipment needed in winter, and it is also suitable for long-distance and long-term travel.

More than 95 liters: These giant monsters can cope with long-term outdoor activities and travel, especially winter exploration and snow mountain exploration, and are also suitable for bringing bad luck to the materials in the base camp. Or a very strong person carries the main equipment and gets a few mm.

The quality of big backpacks should be investigated from five aspects:

1. material: Oxford cloth, nylon and polyester cloth of 300D to 600D are generally used, but the texture, wear resistance, color and coating will be different. The best fabric is DuPont CORDURA, which is strong, wear-resistant and tear-resistant, and its performance exceeds other fibers. Recently, an ultra-light CORDRA has been developed, which can minimize the self-weight of the bag. The material used for the bottom of the bag is stronger than the fabric, and usually 1000D nylon cloth is used more.

2. Design: bag modeling, backpack system, space allocation, small bag configuration, appearance design, back heat dissipation and perspiration, rain cover, etc. A good backpack has outstanding advantages in design.

3. Accessories: zippers, fasteners, necking ropes and nylon belts are all very particular. The most popular good zipper is Japanese YKK zipper, which is divided into native and domestic zippers, and the best zipper is made in northern Europe. There are many quality grades of fasteners, DURAFLEX is the best, and UTX-DURAFLEX is made in Hong Kong. Among them are plastic steel parts and nylon parts. Plastic steel parts have good handle, high hardness and crisp sound. Nylon parts have good toughness and elasticity. Compression ribbons are very different, which can be seen at a glance from the appearance. Hong Kong Victory Ribbon is widely used now, which is tight and firm, beautiful and generous.

4. Technology: The level of processing technology is determined by workers' technology and machinery and equipment, such as multifunctional double needle machine, knotting machine, one-step molding press, glue pressing machine, etc. Program design and quality supervision also play an important role. Visiting some backpack processing factories will give you a perceptual understanding of the whole process.

5. Finally, brand: brand means not only higher price, but also quality assurance and after-sales service.

In terms of backpack system, each backpack manufacturer has its own uniqueness, which is also the essence of backpacks. Different brands carry different backpacks, even different series backpacks of the same brand are different. It depends on the specific model of each bag.

When choosing a backpack, you'd better try it on yourself and adjust the adjustment points on the backpack to suit your body shape. Usually, a big backpack will have an underarm shoulder strap, a back shoulder strap, a belt, a chest strap and a five-point adjustable backpack system. If you still feel uncomfortable in some parts after adjusting various parts, you can make sure that this backpack is not suitable for you and choose other styles.

The correct way to backpack:

First of all, your right leg is half a step forward and your body is slightly lower (if you are left-handed, please walk in the opposite direction). Grab the handle in the middle of the shoulder strap of the backpack, put the backpack on the right leg and hold it.

Second, put your left arm through the shoulder strap and pick up the backpack with your left shoulder. At this time, you should bow your back forward and straighten up. But please don't straighten up. At this time, you should still bend forward. (Can also be wrapped from the right shoulder)

Third, put your right arm through the shoulder strap. Wait a minute, stand up straight and fasten your belt and chest strap first. All right, stand up straight and fasten your seat belt and chest strap.

Finally, please tighten the strap from top to bottom, and check whether all other parts are tightened. If so, then you can move on.

Where's the backpack? It seems slightly different:

We should bend down first and carry the burden on our backs. Then loosen the left belt and extend the left arm. At this time, the backpack slides to the right, and the backpack can be conveniently placed on the right leg. After the right arm is extended, lift the handle with the left hand and put down the backpack.

Pack a backpack

Putting a backpack doesn't mean throwing everything in. Proper and reasonable packaging can make your back comfortable and walk happily.

Heavy items are usually placed in the middle and upper part, close to the back, so that the center of gravity of the backpack is higher, which is convenient for the wearer to straighten up during the journey; However, when climbing steep peaks, the center of gravity of the backpack should be set low, so that the body can bend through trees or travel on climbing terrain with exposed rock collapse walls. When climbing a mountain (mountaineering backpack), the center of gravity of the backpack is close to the pelvic position, that is, the center point of body rotation, to prevent the weight of the backpack from moving to the shoulders. During walking, the center of gravity of the backpack can be higher, close to the back.

Heavy equipment, such as stoves, cookers, heavy food, rain gear, water bottles, etc., are placed at the middle, upper and back. If the center of gravity is too low or too far away from the back, the body will bend and walk. The tent must be tied to the top of the backpack with an umbrella belt. Fuel oil and water should be placed separately to avoid polluting food and clothing. Secondary items should be placed in the center and lower belt of the backpack, such as spare clothes (which must be sealed with plastic bags and belts of different colors can be easily identified), personal appliances, headlights, maps, compasses, cameras, and portable items, such as sleeping bags (which must be sealed with waterproof bags).

The suitable backpacks for men and women are different, because boys have longer upper bodies and girls have shorter upper bodies, but their legs are longer. Carefully choose the backpack that suits you. When carrying loads, boys' weight is higher, because boys' center of gravity is close to the chest, while girls' center of gravity is lower, close to the abdomen. Heavy items should be carried on your back as much as possible, so that the weight is higher than your waist.

Fuel and food should be placed separately. Pay attention to the filling of stoves or pots to avoid back discomfort. Put the pot dumplings into a backpack and wipe them clean on rainy days.

If the backpack is big enough, you can put the tent in the bag: the tent pole is inserted vertically next to the backpack support pole, and the book is folded into a square the size of the backpack mouth and laid flat. Another way is to stuff books in at will and fill in the gaps where other items are placed. This will make the backpack look good.

During use

Pull the adjustment belt between the shoulder strap and the backpack with both hands when marching. Lean forward slightly, so that the gravity when walking is actually in the waist and crotch, and there is no pressure on the back. In an emergency, the upper limbs can be flexible.

When passing through rapids and steep sections, you must protect the ropes. When passing through without protection, you should loosen the shoulder strap and open the belt and chest strap, so as to separate people and bags as soon as possible in case of danger.

When camping, the backpack should be tied tightly to prevent weasels, mice and other small animals from stealing food. Cover your backpack at night. Even if it is sunny, dew will still wet the backpack. In the snow season, the backpack can be used as the gate of the snow cave. If you walk or crawl in the Woods and bushes, it is more suitable to pack your backpack and lower your center of gravity. When camping, you can put your empty backpack under your feet, put it outside your sleeping bag, and isolate it from the cold ground to improve your sleep temperature.

Backpack maintenance

When you come back from the activity, you must clean your backpack. Because the backpack is coated with PU, it can't be cleaned with the washing machine. The correct way is to brush with a dry brush and then wipe with a wet cloth. If it is too dirty, clean the backpack with a neutral cleaner (non-corrosive cleaner) and put it in a cool place to dry, but avoid being exposed to the sun for too long, because ultraviolet rays will hurt nylon cloth. Pay attention to basic maintenance during walking. If the backpack is broken, it should be mended at once. We should use thick needle and thread. The needle specially used to mend the chair cushion should be sewn firmly, and the nylon thread can be burned.

Backpacks should be stored in a cool and dry environment to avoid mildew and damage to the waterproof coating on the outer layer of backpack cloth. Check the main support points, such as belts and shoulder straps, and the stability of the backpack system on weekdays to avoid the deterioration or hardening of the gasket. Replace the zipper if necessary, and don't wait for things to slip out of the backpack to remedy it.
