What is the phenomenon of blue tears in Zhejiang?
In the dark, the coast stretching for several kilometers is glowing with fluorescent blue. Is this a scene from a science fiction movie? In fact, it appeared in Ryan.
A few days ago, Ryan photographer Zheng Tongda photographed this phenomenon in Beiji Island. This fantastic landscape comparable to Avatar has also attracted many photographers from Wenzhou to Beiji Island to pursue the fantastic figure of "Fluorescent Sea".
Zheng Tongda told reporters that he has been playing photography for six or seven years and has taken many photos at the seaside, but this "fluorescent sea" is the first time he has seen and photographed it. "I saw this phenomenon online in Fujian, Guangdong and other places before, and I thought, Wenzhou may also have it." Zheng Tongda first chose Dongtou, however, no trace of "fluorescent sea" was found.
On May 17, Zheng Tongda made an appointment with a photographer to go to Beiji Island. As night falls, the coast is brightly lit. When you walk in, there is blue in the light. "If the waves are big enough, you will see a blue creature being stirred in the air, like a firefly. When I stepped on it in the pool, the blue ripples rippled and exploded. " Zheng Tongda said that the more fluorescent things are, the more obvious the blue fluorescent effect is when they are hit by external forces.
Why are there such wonders along the coast? The reporter consulted Su Xiong, the stationmaster of Rui 'an Marine Environmental Monitoring Station.
According to the description and pictures, Su Xiong judged that this phenomenon was caused by nocturnal algae. Recently, the seawater temperature is suitable, and the sunshine is sufficient. There are currents in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, warm currents in Taiwan Province Province and warm currents in the western Pacific Ocean gathering in the waters of Beiji Island, so the biological activities here are abnormal, and a large number of noctiluca are gathered.
"In March, June and September of previous years, noctiluca has also appeared in Beiji Island. The public may not be able to see it. Only when the growth conditions are suitable can it appear. " Su Xiong said that noctiluca scintillans is a global red tide organism with a spherical shape. Its fluorescent band appears not only on the beach, but also on the sea. When it gathers in large numbers, it can be found that the sea water is pink during the day.
It is said that noctiluca scintillans is non-toxic, but if it breaks out in a large area, it will form a red tide and endanger the fishery.
