Brief Introduction of Art College of Shandong Institute of Light Industry

Art College of Qilu University of Technology was founded in 1983, then called the Department of Industrial Art Design, which was the earliest department of higher art design in Shandong Province.

1992, renamed the Department of Industrial Design.

1998, renamed the Department of Art and Design.

200 1 renamed as College of Art and Design.

In 2009, it was renamed Art College. After 28 years' development, the college has developed from 1 major at the time of its establishment to five undergraduate majors-art design, fashion design and engineering, industrial design, photography and music performance, with nine professional directions: decorative art design, environmental art design, exhibition design, decorative art design, fashion design and engineering, fashion performance and image design, industrial design, photography and music performance. At present, there are 2 152 junior college students and graduate students.

At present, there are a number of disciplines, majors and teachers who have great influence in China, such as the first-class master of design, master of art design, Shandong provincial key disciplines-design art, national specialty-art design, provincial quality courses-product design, Shandong teaching team-industrial design teaching team, etc. Art College has an experimental teaching center for art design, which consists of six laboratories: industrial design laboratory, photography laboratory, clothing laboratory, visual communication laboratory, public art laboratory and public laboratory. At present, it has more than 50 sets of instruments and equipment with more than 10,000 yuan, which provides strong support for the teaching and scientific research work of the college.

The college has a teaching area of more than 5,400 square meters, and there are 23 pieces of experimental equipment 1023, worth more than 7.5 million yuan. The school library has a special art reference room with more than 30,000 Chinese and foreign books.
