How to take a good photo of sunset?

Sunrise and sunset are the most magnificent landscapes in nature. The red sun and the golden light passing through the colorful clouds are photographers' favorite subjects.

When the sun rises from or approaches the horizon, its brightness changes rapidly. The light in the morning is getting brighter and brighter, gradually losing the atmosphere in the morning, and the light in the evening soon weakens. At the same time, colorful clouds often appear around the sun. Because the scenery of sunrise and sunset changes quickly, it is very important to make full preparations before shooting, which will help you shoot in time.

Before shooting, you should go to the scene to observe the exact position of sunrise and sunset, and then determine the ground scenery and shooting direction and place to avoid the phenomenon that the scenery is separated from the setting position when shooting. It is best to use reflective water in the choice of ground scenery, such as ponds, rice fields and rivers. Due to the reflection of groundwater, the photos taken in this way can avoid the problem of large contrast between the ground and the sky.

In the process of shooting sunrise or sunset, when your eyes can look directly at the sun without glare, the camera lens can point directly at the sun. If you think the sunlight is too bright for human eyes to look directly at, you'd better lower the aperture by one or two levels. When you use a small aperture of F/ 16 or F/22, you can get a radiation effect. When sunlight enters the lens, it will form a halo phenomenon on the photosensitive film, so a hood should be added. Note that exposure should be determined by the brightness of the sun or clouds. Because the light in the sky is stronger than that on the ground, there is a big difference. If the exposure is determined according to the ground scenery, both the sun and the clouds will be overexposed.

In order to make the image of the sun stand out on the screen, it is ideal to use a 200 mm lens, which can obtain a larger image of the sun. If you focus on the foreground, not the sun itself, you can make the scene have a strong three-dimensional sense, and at the same time, because the sun on the picture is no longer dazzling, it will create a mysterious atmosphere. If you shoot with a standard lens, the influence of sunlight on the picture is too small, so you'd better choose to shoot scenes such as Xia Hong and sunset.

Filter lenses are often used when shooting sunrises and sunsets. Such as blue and cyan filters, can reduce the brightness of the sun and narrow the brightness contrast between the sun and the scenery; If you use yellow, orange and red filters, the contrast of the scene will be excessively highlighted and the darkness will be reduced. What kind of filter to choose You can choose different filter lenses according to different themes and different lighting conditions.
