Xu's right evaluation

Photographer in the leader's heart

1949 Spring, Xiangshan Shuangqing Mountain Villa, photographer Zhengqing Chen holding a camera, Xu He standing left and right, ready to take a photo with Chairman Mao. Chairman Mao said, "No, you can't stand like this. Lesbians can hold up half the sky and Hou Bo will stand in the middle. " Insist that Hou Bo stand in the middle. For many years, that photo has been hung in the living room of the Xu family. I'm afraid this honor is unique in China photography.

It was also in this year that Beiping (now Beijing) was peacefully liberated. When Mao Zedong and other central leaders arrived at Beijing Xiyuan Airport, they met with democratic parties and independents. Xu took photos at the scene. I haven't seen you for many years. Chairman Mao recognized Xu Xiaobing at a glance, called his name, and kindly introduced to everyone: "This is our own photographer, who grew up from a snack rice." It is a rare privilege for a photographer to leave a deep impression on the hearts of great men.
