Why is high-speed photography called slow motion?

Pictures that should be shot at high speed are played very slowly at normal speed. High speed means taking more photos. For example, there are more pictures taken at high speed than normal speed at the same time. We feel slow because the playback speed of the picture can't keep up with the shooting speed, so we feel slow.
