Central Park is located in the center of Heping District, covering an area of 1.27 hectares, surrounded by circular Garden Road, which is the intersection of Liaoning Road, Dandong Road and Chengde Road. This is a typical street park.

The park was built by the French Concession authorities, and started on 19 17, and was completed on 1922, so it is called French Park. The representative building is the hexagonal stone pavilion in the center of the park (changed to octagonal pavilion when it was rebuilt in the Republic of China). With Shi Ting as the center, it radiates to six intersections around, forming a small flower garden with different shapes between roads. The residential area of Uchikoji is tortuous, with small bridges and flowing water and green willows. The park is surrounded by iron railings, and there is a road around the park outside the railings.

1937 After Japan invaded Tianjin, the Japanese puppet authorities renamed the French Garden as the Central Garden. 1946 After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, the Kuomintang authorities renamed the park Roosevelt Park.

After the founding of New China, the people's government allocated funds for many times to completely renovate the garden, which was riddled with holes and beyond recognition, and officially named it Central Park. 1964 once again allocated funds to build the park and renamed it "Red Scarf Park". The park was damaged to varying degrees in the 1976 earthquake, and was rebuilt by the municipal government 198 1 1995, a bronze statue of General Ji Hongchang was erected in the courtyard. Today's Central Park is not only a new place for shade, birds and flowers, citizens' leisure and children's play, but also a patriotic education base.
