How to add slow motion or fast motion in GoPro Studio

slow motion

Method # 1

In step 1: Import and Transform, you can select advanced settings, reduce the frame rate, and then transform the clip. For example, if you shoot a video at 1080p 60 fps, you can reduce the frame rate to 30 fps. The resulting file will be played at half the speed of the original file.

We recommend this method if you plan to use the converted clip in other applications (similar to GoPro Studio) that do not allow you to synthesize the frame rate.

Method 2

Step 2: Edit. You can use the "Speed" setting in the "Video" setting section to slow down the video. Decreasing the speed below 100% will reduce the video speed. If you want the video to play at half the speed of the original file, please reduce the percentage to 50%.

If you want to play back video and audio in real time in the editing area before adjusting the speed, we recommend you to use this method.

Please note that adjusting the speed here will cause the audio to be deleted.

Fast action (delay)

Method # 1

In Step 1: Import and Transform, you can select Advanced Settings and choose the Acceleration option. This is a good way to simulate the delay style of video files. When this option is selected, the system will display a slider to realize different degrees of video acceleration by skipping the picture.

In addition, you can also select the Motion Blur option, which usually outputs the smoothest delayed picture.

Method 2

Step 2: Edit. You can use the "Speed" setting in the "Video" setting section to slow down the video. Decreasing the speed above 100% will speed up the video. If you want the video to play at twice the speed of the original file, increase the percentage to 200%.

If you want to play back video and audio in real time in the editing area before adjusting the speed, we recommend you to use this method.

Please note that adjusting the speed here will cause the audio to be deleted.
