What is scene depth?

Depth of scene: The so-called depth of scene (referred to as depth of field) is the clear range before and after the focus. The greater the depth of the scene, the clearer the entire image will be from the distant view to the close-up; the shallower the depth of the scene, the clearer the focus subject will be. The foreground and background will be blurred, making the subject more prominent. The factors that affect the depth of the scene are mainly focal length, aperture and shooting distance. The longer the focal length, the larger the aperture, and the closer the shooting distance, the shallower the depth of the scene; conversely, the shorter the focal length, the smaller the aperture, and the farther the shooting distance, the greater the depth of the scene.
