Lead: How to shoot landscape films when traveling abroad? Let's take a look!

First of all, the silhouette of Chen Xia.

1. Shooting originality

The shooting location was in Xiapu Beidou, and we arrived at Beidou at 4 am 10. Because the road is difficult to recognize, we should start early and arrive early. After arriving at the scene, there is no high position to shoot, and the shooting point can only be on the beach. After setting up a tripod to find a plane seat, I saw a fishing boat stranded on the beach because of low tide, and suddenly I had an idea. With this stranded fishing boat as the main body and the boat on the sea as the foil, a silhouette was formed under the glow of the sun to show the characteristic picture of Beidou.

2. Writing skills

Because the time in Xia Guang is very short, the fishing boat stranded under wide angle is a little far from the beach, so I simply took the camera off the tripod, walked off the beach, approached the fishing boat, put the fishing boat in the middle of the composition, and vacated the fishing boat, so that the sky occupied two thirds, showing the beauty of Cai Xia. Then, using the wide-angle deformation characteristics, I echoed with the fishing boats in the distance, resulting in a deep vision and making up for the lack of high-point shooting. In this group of Xiapu in My Eyes, many films use this fishing boat, or concrete, or prospect, or framework.

3. The second half

Because of hand-held shooting, we can only shoot RAW format to ensure the film. Later, the contrast and saturation were appropriately increased in Canon's own software DPP. In order to keep certain details of the beach, the sky is processed first, and PS is introduced, and then the ground is brightened in DPP, and then PS is introduced to get two films with different exposures, which are superimposed and pulled out with a mask, so that details can be preserved in highlights and dark parts. It should be noted that the ground should not be too bright, as long as the details can be properly preserved.

Second, sunrise by the sea.

1. Before shooting

Scene shooting often encounters rapid changes, and some scenes are difficult to meet. The original plan was to shoot the sunrise at the seaside at 4 am, but at that time, the clouds were covered and the sun was hiding behind them. Until 7 o'clock, the sun suddenly broke through the clouds, and the golden light shone on the earth instantly. So I quickly ran close to the cliff, found the perfect angle between the sun and the cliff, quickly measured the sky, and started exposure around 5 continuous shooting. After the shooting, the sun hid in the clouds and refused to come out?

Ground ISO50, aperture 8, exposure 1/30 seconds, exposure compensation -0.3EV.

2. Shooting experience

The appearance of this photo was unexpected. Sunrise shooting summer shooting time is about 6 am, when the sky is just a little white and the light ratio is not very large, so it is easy to shoot a good film. At 7 o'clock, the sun was already high, and I was about to call it a day when the beautiful scenery mentioned above appeared, so I did not hesitate to take this scene and got this photo. The opportunity to shoot sometimes comes suddenly. You should be good at observation and can shoot beautiful things.

3. Shooting skills

Peripheral exposure: in the case of high light ratio, such as backlight shooting, the sky and the ground can be exposed many times, and the post-synthesis method can replace GND in most cases. Here, I would like to commend D4 for her great tolerance. Although there are five exposures around, actually two exposures are enough.

4. Post-production

Later, two films were used, and the sky part was called out with a mask after adjustment. Pay attention to the combination of sky, cliff and sun, which is natural and harmonious. Using the change of color temperature, the whole picture shows warm and cold colors, making the picture cleaner and more transparent. In addition, the atmosphere is well rendered from the aspects of tone, light and shade, so that the picture has a three-dimensional effect.

Third, the city sunset.

1. Shooting equipment

This time, it has been one year since I last filmed the sunset in Guang Zhouta. Compared with this time last year, the camera body was changed from D700 to D800, and the pixel level was tripled, with a single sheet of 3600w pixels, which made this film even more shocking. Two lenses are used: DZ 2 1/2.8 and PC-E45/2.8.

2. Use a gradient gray filter

In order to darken the light ratio between heaven and earth, I used a gradient gray filter, which is cheap but practical, and can help photographers solve the problem of insufficient tolerance of digital photography to some extent. Without the use of gradient gray filter, we often take a photo with normal ground exposure, the sky is pale without details, or the sky is exposed normally, but the ground exposure is insufficient, so we can't find a exposure value with the best of both worlds. In our daily shooting process, the sky is usually brighter than the ground, so in order to ensure the consistency of exposure from top to bottom, we need a gradient mirror to suppress the light above.

3. Shooting skills

Most landscape works require a slow shutter. This article is the prerequisite for the completion of the first two articles, and it is also the reason why there must be a sufficiently stable support system. In addition, choose to shoot within 65,438+0 hours before and after sunset, which can't exceed 65,438+0.5 hours at most, because when the sun below the horizon can't shine on the atmosphere above you, the sky is dead black, not intoxicating dark blue, and the dark blue sky can form a cold and warm contrast with the night lights.

Fourth, the starry sky beyond the Great Wall

1. Before shooting

The two photos are synthetic, and the sky and the ground are not completed at one time. While shooting the land, it is very important to think about the location of the Milky Way in advance, so the focus of ground scenery selection should highlight the momentum of the canyon.

Ground ISO200 aperture 8.0, exposure for 6 seconds, exposure compensation-1.

2. Blasting time

The shooting time on land is around 6 am. At this time, the sky is just a little white, and the light ratio is not very large, which is more suitable for low-light shooting.

3. Post-production

Later, after adjusting the two films respectively, the layer on the ground was copied to the layer on the star orbit, and the galaxy part was called out with a mask. Pay attention to the junction of the galaxy and the land, and behave naturally. Don't make people feel fake at first sight. The key point is the tone of the film, and the atmosphere at night should be rendered well from the aspects of tone, light and shadow.

Five, warm documentary

1. Shooting motivation

With the development of society, many things that people take for granted are disappearing in history. The advantage of images over written records lies in their intuition. Documentary photography is a subject that every photographer should attach importance to. A 65-year-old barber shop in my suburban county is about to be demolished due to urban transformation. In order to record the history, I drove 240 kilometers to the mountain road and left her last image.

2. Shooting parameters

Documentary photography, my understanding is that under the control of photographic language, try to make real records. Although the environment in the old barber shop was dark, I did not use an external flash to fill the light, but used natural light and the original indoor lighting to shoot, trying to truly record the atmosphere of the scene. In order to show the relationship between people and the environment in the picture, the depth of field should not be too shallow, and the safety shutter speed should also be considered. The aperture selection is more appropriate. Thanks to the good high sense of 5D Mark III, the picture quality looks acceptable.

3. Shooting skills

Landscape photography attaches great importance to the application of prospect. In fact, documentary themes are also indispensable in many cases. The old wall clock in the foreground of this photo echoes the main character as a foil, enriching the information of the picture and enhancing the appeal of the picture. Old shop years? This theme.

Six, the journey documentary

1. Love in my heart

For documentary portrait photography, I personally think the most important thing is to have love in my heart, especially when shooting children. Only when you have love in your heart can you integrate this emotion into your photography and let the picture reveal different charm and temperament. These young monks or children in the western region actually need to play and snack as much as children in the city. They are more active and unfamiliar than the children in the city, so before shooting, I played with them and blended in, making them feel that I am a friend and free. Then you can arrange their movements and positions when shooting, without worrying about language barriers, expressions and body language are enough to communicate.

2. Composition and exposure

24mm wide-angle and horizontal composition was used when shooting, because it felt more tension and charm. Considering that their clothes and skin are deep during exposure, they are overexposed at 0.5- 1 and shot in RAW format. If there are too many parts, it can be adjusted later, but if there is insufficient exposure, the later adjustment will affect the image quality. It should be noted here that dark red is easy to change color due to inaccurate exposure, and it needs to be adjusted back later after proper overexposure.

3. Blasting time

I took this job at eight or nine in the morning. At this time, the clouds are rich, but the ultraviolet rays on the plateau are quite strong, which is quite different from the light ratio of the characters. In the early morning or evening, the contrast of light is relatively small, and the light quality is soft, which is more suitable for taking portraits. However, in order to make the sky more layered and the whole picture thicker, I added a gradient grey mirror to darken the sky. In addition, as documentary photography, you should have a premonition of the characters' movements and make preparations in advance in order to shoot shocking instantaneous works, which requires that when you face so many children, you should be clear about the characteristics of each child in your heart and know which are the protagonists in the picture.
