Brief introduction of China Communication University

1. Communication University of China, referred to as "Zhongchuan" for short, is located in Beijing, the capital. It is a characteristic university in the field of information and communication directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC), a national "world-class discipline construction university", a national "21/engineering" key construction university and a national "985 engineering advantage discipline innovation platform" construction university. The national "11plan", "National Postgraduate Plan for Building a High-level University" and "National College Students' Innovation and Entrepreneurship Training Plan" were selected as the sponsors of the International Media Higher Education Alliance and the UNESCO Chair on Media and Women.

The school was formerly a training course for technicians of the Central Broadcasting Bureau, which was founded in 1954. 1958 was renamed Beijing Broadcasting Institute. 1959 approved by the State Council, the school was upgraded to Beijing Broadcasting Institute. In 2000, it was transferred from the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television to the Ministry of Education. In 2002, China University of Mining and Technology Beijing Campus (formerly Beijing Coal Management Cadre College) East Campus was merged into Beijing Broadcasting Institute. In September 2004, it was renamed China Communication University.

At the earliest time, the logo of China Communication University was surrounded by side views of three old-fashioned pen tips, representing journalists who wrote with pens; The interior is enclosed in the shape of a camera shutter, representing the photography profession expressed by images; The overall shape is similar to the shape of a launch tower, representing the communication specialty that provides technical support. Art, art and engineering are perfectly integrated in this small pattern. In the following years, although the school emblem was slightly adjusted, the three most basic concepts of nib, shutter and launch tower were continued.
