Comprehensive Introduction

The first part of Mo Dou’s small questionnaire

p>

Nowadays, the level of online music is mixed. As a post-95s generation, Mo Dou released an EP of the level of "Wolf Smoke Drunk", which is surprising to all of us. I am very happy to enjoy your music.

Ozzie Mo Dou: (stupefied for a moment) Ah, thank you, thank you. You'll be scolded for saying that. In fact, most of us learn about music through the Internet. Maybe everyone’s thoughts, understanding, and feelings are different. I'm very happy that some people like my work. In fact, I didn't have confidence that it would get clicks before. For example, I later learned that Baidu MP3 automatically recorded this, which was unexpected.

Whose music do you usually listen to?

Ozzie Mo Dou: The music side of us born in the 90s should all be inspired by Jay Chou, right. I mostly listen to European and American music. I like soul music like Adele and Mars. I like gaga and kesha for electronic music. And hip-hop, I like the Japanese and Korean feel, bigbang, um, and Nicky. Adam's rock music is my favorite. I fell in love with rock music because of Adam. (Are there any more?) Like popular words, I like caery’s voice. In fact, I quite like Xu Song's personal feeling. Yes, there is also ancient style. I like the music of Xiao Shi very much (there is obviously a lot to say when it comes to music)

When did you become enlightened in this aspect of music creation?

Ozzie: Creation should start with poetry, and music creation should also start with poetry. When I was six years old, I went on a spring outing with my family and wrote a poem on the way back. At that time, I thought, Oh, this is good. I also found a small notebook to write down in it, and then I recorded some of my own small works, ideas, etc. in the notebook. It feels so artistic.

Do you remember the content of the poem?

Ozzie: Yes. It’s called spring, no, it’s called spring, yes. Spring, spring comes to the world, the green leaves sprout and flash, the flowers nod and smile, and we are all full of fun. Ha ha.

The first song you wrote was "Rainy Day", right?

Ozzie: Yes. In fact, I have also conceived some small materials before. But the first song I wrote was "Rainy Day". When I was in the second grade of junior high school, it was summer and very hot.

Very hot?

Ozie Mo Dou: Yeah

Do your classmates and friends think it’s awesome?

Ozzie: No. They didn’t know that I wrote songs, and I would talk to good friends about it later, and they weren’t surprised. When the album was released, the class didn’t know everything yet.

Later on, many people gave you advice on style, right?

Ozzie: Yes. Later, many friends on the Internet told me that they hoped that I would make a style of music alone. But it's hard for me, I don't know how to do it, I don't know how. My melodies come from my own feelings, and when inspiration comes, I don't think about it within any stylistic framework. I think I have rock, hiphop, electronic music, and Chinese style in my blood. So I once replied at that time, "If I don't have my own music style, every melody and every work of mine combined is the complete Mo Dou style." Haha, actually quite complacent. I'm still in the exploratory stage, I've just started. Well, I will find the music that suits me. Maybe it will be a variety of genres at that time, but it will be more complete and mature than now. Mo Doufeng, hahaha, probably. I will.

There will be many surprises for us in the future.

Ozzie Mo Dou: Yeah, yeah, I promise. Hopefully my ideas aren't all-or-nothing, I like the music itself rather than one element of it. I'm learning these elements, taking the new things I'm exposed to that I love, and learning how to make them in my own way.

Can you tell me something?

Ozzie Mo Dou: Well, after the first ballad "Little Fresh", I am confident in myself in terms of lyrical pop songs. Several of the works I started writing in 2011 have maintained the same high level as "Rainy Day", which makes me happy. I have always loved Chinese style and ancient style. "Drunken by Wolf Smoke" is not the first song I wrote. There are also graceful ones. The sweet duet song has improved a lot compared to "Round Egg". What made me happy was the American R ink fountain that I came into contact with later
