How to shoot the super moon and shoot a round and big super moon?
Take this photo with mm lens and cut it to the required size.
The largest super moon in 20 17 will occur on the night of February 4 17, which is 357949 kilometers away from the earth. This is an excellent opportunity to leave home at night and photograph the big and bright moon.
Set the exact time and date when the moon is closest to the earth (in your time zone). You hope to have enough photographic equipment to meet the next super moon, and want to capture the photos we want to take with all its excellent performance, so as to prepare for this activity in advance.
First, what do you need?
Digital SLR cameras and telephoto lenses, or mirrorless digital cameras with high optical zoom;
Remote shutter or camera self-timer function
Second, switch to manual mode.
Switch from automatic shooting mode to manual mode (or shutter priority mode).
Set the ISO sensitivity to low (select 100 or 200 units) to minimize noise. The choice of shutter speed and sensor sensitivity depends on the ambient light and the desired effect.
The moon is a bright light source, and its moving speed is amazing, so you need to use a slower shutter speed to avoid blurring the image.
Try to use "f/ 16" (sunny day 16): if the aperture value is f/
16, the denominator of shutter speed should be approximately equal to ISO sensitivity. This rule applies to shooting on sunny days, but it also applies to shooting the bright moon. For example, if you use ISO
For shooting with sensitivity of 100, please set the shutter speed to1100 seconds (or1125, depending on the value provided by the camera).
According to the brightness of the moon, the aperture value f/ 16 may be too small. Please try setting f/1. For the experiment, please try to take some test shots and change the aperture, shutter speed and ISO.
Remember, when shooting, at least open the shutter to get the maximum clarity.
Shooting in RAW format will give you more choices when processing computer images. Use manual focusing.
Third, use manual focusing.
Autofocus usually doesn't work properly in low light. Using manual focusing will help sharpen the image, not the point that the camera wants to sharpen.
Switch the control lever on the lens (or camera body) to MF mode. Focusing on the display screen (real-time display mode) can help you find the accurate focus position. When you try to see an object through the viewfinder, you don't need to squint.
There are other ways to fine-tune the clarity.
Fourth, use spot metering.
Do you want to photograph the brightest moon in the black sky? Spot metering will help to achieve good results. In this case, the camera only measures a small part of the light in the scene-usually in the center of the viewfinder (but here, depending on the brand of the camera, you can choose other options).
Spot metering is better when using telephoto lenses. In this case, the exposure will not depend on other areas of the frame, such as the color of the sky around the moon.
If there are other elements in the picture, matrix (evaluation, multi-area) exposure photometry will be better if you don't try to get silhouette. Automatic bracketing exposure is also useful for shooting scenes with large brightness differences, especially when you are in a hurry to take pictures and make sure that at least one photo is of high quality. With bracketing exposure, you can quickly take 3, 5, 7 or more images at different shutter speeds (exposures) without manually changing the settings.
5. "Close" the object with a telephoto lens.
To obtain high-quality and clear satellite images, telephoto lenses or optical lenses with powerful zoom functions must be used. When using telephoto and telephoto lenses, a tripod is definitely needed. You can try to take pictures by hand-but such pictures will never be perfect.
Don't want to buy telephoto lenses? The rangefinder can increase the focal length several times. The rangefinder is installed between the camera and the lens. But in the end, the picture quality may be different from what you expected, because the range finder has narrowed the aperture several times.
Sixth, avoid camera shake.
A tripod can keep the camera still, but pressing the shutter button will still cause the camera to vibrate. To take pictures without touching the shutter button, please use the remote control.
If it doesn't exist, you can use the selfie by setting the timer by time. Make all the settings and adjust the focal length. After this time, the camera will automatically take pictures, and then press the shutter of the camera.
In SLR cameras, the simple movement of the mirror moving up and down during shooting leads to the movement and blurring of the lens frame. Therefore, to prevent the mirror from moving, it is necessary to shoot in real-time display. Please read the user manual to understand how it works in your camera model.
Seven, give play to creativity
The moon in the dark sky itself is beautiful, but you can try to add creative elements to the photos. We can consider shooting the moon in the initial stage of the super moon, shooting the rise and fall of the moon, and let the scenes around us-clouds, buildings, trees and people enter the scene at this time.
