Shooting skills of large-scale performances
Don't use flash when shooting scenes of stage performances. The use of flash will interfere with the actors on the stage and affect the performance. Secondly, too close to the stage will appear a lot of bright blocks, too far away will have no effect, and it is easy to backfire.
Shooting suggestion:
1, shooting in raw format:
Under the change of stage lighting, the brightness changes greatly, and the shooting of stage performance will be overexposed or darkened due to the change of light. The raw format shooting can well preserve the details of the light and dark parts of the photo. Both photography and post-processing are very convenient.
Step 2: tripod
Shooting on stage often takes a long time. If you don't want to be too tired, it is recommended to bring a tripod. However, if the grip is acceptable, and you need to move the shooting position frequently, and you are worried about the trouble of moving the shooting, it is recommended to hold it.
3. Shooting angle
The shooting angle is also divided into camera angle and shooting position. If you shoot at a fixed point, you must choose a good shooting position, otherwise you will move too frequently, which will easily affect the audience's viewing experience. If you need to move, you need to choose the front position and shoot at a lower position to avoid affecting others.
4, bold composition
Shooting stage content is actually more about capturing dynamic pictures. You can't spend too much time on composition like taking landscape photos. Therefore, when we see the picture, we can cut it out and then make a second composition. Because it is in raw format, cropping will not have much impact on the photo pixels.
5. continuous shooting model.
The difficulty in filming a stage performance usually lies in the capture of wonderful movements. What continuous shooting can bring is continuous shooting of a series of actions. Compared with the snapshot, continuous shooting is less difficult, just choose the expressive photos after shooting. The ISO recommendation of the camera is around 800- 1600. Of course, we should choose the appropriate ISO value according to the specific situation.
6. Camera gear and metering mode
Because there are many shots on the stage, snapshots or continuous shooting, it is recommended to use shutter priority or manual M file. In metering mode, it is suggested to use the central key to average the light, which can complete most stage performances. However, it is still the same sentence: specific analysis of the specific situation, you can take a photo shoot first, see the actual effect and then adjust according to specific problems.
Shooting a stage performance is actually more about controlling the light, and it is very easy to be overexposed or too dark in the process. Therefore, when shooting, we should adjust the parameters according to the change of stage lighting. Memorizing a parameter cannot achieve a perfect shooting state.
