Brief Introduction of Academy of Fine Arts of Shaanxi Normal University

The faculty structure of the Academy of Fine Arts is reasonable, with 43 professional teachers, including more than 20 professors and associate professors, 5 doctors and 0/6 masters. There are 800 undergraduates and more than 90 graduate students. The Academy of Fine Arts has always adhered to the true direction of running a school. After years of hard work, it has developed rapidly in personnel training, scientific construction, academic research, teaching facilities and teaching methods, creating a good environment and conditions for cultivating outstanding talents.

The Academy of Fine Arts of Normal University now has four undergraduate majors: fine arts, art design, painting, decoration design and craft education. Candidates take the unified professional course examination, and can choose the professional direction of art education, Chinese painting, oil painting, environmental art, visual communication design and so on according to the relevant regulations of the college. In 2005, the average admission score of art major courses was 145. The college has Chinese painting copying studio, oil painting studio, art exhibition hall, computer room, lacquer art studio, silk screen studio, fiber studio and other art studios to provide students with corresponding professional practice bases.

In recent years, teachers of various departments have published dozens of academic monographs, hundreds of academic papers and thousands of works of art (design), and participated in many provincial and national exhibitions of works of art and won prizes. Professor Xu Yisheng, a famous painter in China, has held many solo exhibitions at home and abroad, and the landscape painting "Mountain Wind and Sunset" has been collected by the British Museum.
