The Department of Health originally intended to cancel the system that people who go abroad can stop their insurance, but in the end, the Detailed Rules for the Implementation of the National Health Insurance Law adopted a compromise plan, that is, people who plan to go abroad for more than six months can still apply for stopping their insurance, but those who re-insure as health insurance must pay the full health insurance premium for three months if they want to stop their insurance again, so as to dispel the impression that people who have lived abroad for a long time, such as foreigners, use health insurance.

According to statistics, last year, reinsurers paid health insurance premiums of * */kloc-0.70 billion yuan, and the medical resources consumed were 2/kloc-0.0 billion yuan, that is, the whole people shared 40 million yuan for them.

Therefore, if these foreigners return to Taiwan twice in 1 year, they must pay the health insurance premium for at least six months, even if they only stay for less than 1 month each time. The Ministry of Health believes that some people may simply stop insurance after weighing.

In addition, the Detailed Rules for the Implementation of the National Health Insurance Law has also been revised with the second-generation health insurance law, and new insurance has been started since New Year's Day.
