What is fixed-point shooting?

Fixed-point shooting is a shooting method often used in sports photography. The aperture and shutter speed of the camera are reasonably combined in advance according to the light conditions of the scene and the sensitivity of the film used. Then, adjust the focus of the lens to the point to be shot and wait for the opportunity to shoot. It can accurately, quickly and timely capture the moment of action, and the photos taken are large and clear, which properly reflects the climax of the action. When shooting a moving picture with the fixed-point method, the shutter speed is generally above 1/250 seconds (including 1/250 seconds), while the rapid rotation actions such as air diving and gymnastics jumping and tumbling need more than 1/500 seconds.

When using the fixed-point shooting method, we must pay attention to the accuracy of the focus, make full use of the space of the film negative, and try to use the big picture to highlight the subject.
