What happened to the collective “prison escape” of South African elephants?

Recently, an entire herd of elephants escaped from a nature reserve in South Africa, and rangers tracked them immediately.

After hunting down the dozen elephants, the management staff anesthetized and tied the limbs of the dozen elephants, which weighed about 4 tons, and then used a crane to carefully put them into the transport vehicle and rescue them.

It is reported that the scene of the elephant being hoisted by a crane was captured by Pete Oxford, a photographer and conservationist from the United Kingdom.

According to reports, in order to make the elephants comfortable, forest rangers stayed with them during the transportation, spreading their trunks with branches to ensure that they could breathe normally, and watering them to cool down.
