Weizhou Island is located in Beihai City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It is the largest and youngest volcanic island in China. The island has dense vegetation and beautiful scenery, especially the unique sea erosion, sea accumulation landforms, volcanic lava and colorful living corals. It is known as the "Penglai Island" in the South China Sea. Weizhou Island has magnificent scenery. The more famous scenic spots include "Drip Water Danping", "Turtle and Pig Gongbi", "Sesame Beach", "French Missionary Head", "Volcanic Bomb Gathering" and Sanpo Temple, Shengdan Temple , the Catholic Church and Tang Xianzu’s sea view point, etc. The volcanic rocks here come in various shapes and forms, which are so wonderful that one cannot help but marvel at the wonders of nature.

May-December: Recommendation Index ★★★★

The sun will be brighter and more suitable for swimming. It is the beginning of the traditional peak tourist season for Beihai and Weizhou Island. Among them, May, June, September, November and December are especially the best. You can avoid the crowds, buy tickets and stay conveniently, and enjoy the beauty of taking photos where you and the scenery merge into one.

January-March: Recommendation Index ★★★

The temperature on the island is basically maintained at around 23° all year round. You can spend the winter vacation on Weizhou Island, so there are many people from the north. My friend chose to come over for the winter, which is commonly known as the "Migrant Bird Project."

March-June: Recommendation Index ★★★★

You can feel the quiet seaside, the last tranquility before the summer crowds and carnival.

July-August: Recommendation Index ★★★★★

The most popular month has the best scenery and the most fun. You can go to the sea to experience the hot atmosphere. But there are really many people in these two months! You have to be prepared to get a hard-earned ticket! So be sure to buy your tickets in advance! Buy your tickets in advance! Buy your tickets in advance! Say important things three times.

TOP 1: Crocodile Crater Park

The most famous one on Weizhou Island is the Crocodile Crater Park. It is one of the must-see attractions on Weizhou Island! It is also the only attraction on the island that requires ticket verification. In fact, the park is neither big nor small. Under normal circumstances, you can finish the tour in two hours. The charming sea view building designed at the entrance is the best place to watch the sea, where you can take a good look at the sea. For girls, if you go as a family unit, you still need to take photos, which will take longer. If it is summer, it will be hot, so be prepared for sun protection.

Highlights of the Crater Scenic Area:

One is the black volcanic rock, which is very well preserved; the second is the clear sea water and white sandy beach (much whiter than the North Sea ); The last one is to stand on the top of the mountain and watch the scenery.

Tours can last up to 3-4 hours.

Tips: When the staff checks the ticket, they will punch a hole in the island ticket, so you can only enter Crocodile Mountain Crater Park once with the ticket.

TOP 2: Shiluokou Beach

When people think of the beach, what they think of is freedom and romance. The Shiluokou Beach on Weizhou Island not only takes into account freedom and romance, but also preserves its originality and nature. You won’t see cookie-cutter photos placed in advertising spaces, but real, natural beaches.

Shiluokou Beach is located on the western coast of Weizhou Island, where the sea water is clear and the beach is wide and soft. Here, you can rent a deck chair to enjoy the sea breeze and doze leisurely, swim in the sea, ride a motorcycle, experience diving, or rent a boat to go out to sea.

Shiluokou Beach is also the best place to watch the sunset. Watching a sunset here is something you will never forget. Moreover, Shiluokou Beach and Dishui Danping are connected. It only takes 20-30 minutes to walk from Shiluokou Beach to Dishui Danping!

TOP 3: Catholic Church

Weizhou Island Catholic Church is a Renaissance Gothic building. Like many churches, many new people leave their loving memories here. Make a lifelong promise. In fact, love needs no words. Bringing her (him) here, standing in front of the church, and looking at him (her) is the greatest love.

The Catholic Church is located in Shengtang Village in the northeast of Weizhou Island. It was built in 1853 by the French Missionary Society of Paris. The history is relatively long. The most important thing is that when the missionaries built the church, they learned from the villagers and used only coral stones. Therefore, this church can be regarded as a combination of Chinese and foreign. The architecture is Western architecture, but the materials are unique to the local area. Now it has become a location for many couples to take wedding photos.

TOP 4: Colorful Beach

Located on the east coast of Weizhou Island, it is mainly made of black sandstone ground from shells and volcanic stones. There are steep sea cliffs along the coast. Not far from the beach is the largest sea erosion platform on the island.

Tips: After the tide of Wucai Beach recedes, the beach surface is still slippery and falls are more likely to occur, so everyone should pay attention to safety and be more careful when playing.

TOP 5: Dishui Danping

Dishui Danping is located on the south bank of Dishui Village on Weizhou Island, formerly known as Dishui Rock. As you can imagine, when all the water droplets drip from the rock wall covered with green plants, forming a natural barrier, it is absolutely a unique sight. Dishui Danping is the best place to watch the sunset. You can take your family, friends, and loved ones with you in the afternoon and wait for the last ray of the sun on the beach to feel the rare quietness and waiting.

TOP 6: Shell Beach

Shell Beach is the beach attraction with the longest coastline on Weizhou Island. It starts from the east coast of Weizhou Island and ends at the beach where Lanqiao Pier is located. The only ring road on the island runs from the pier to the coast of Shell Beach from north to east. You can walk into Shell Beach from the ring road. There are three viewing platforms (with signboards) along Shell Beach with different views.

This beach has clear water and white and soft sand, making it perfect for walking and collecting shells. Shell Beach is very long and has few tourists, so it retains more original ecological scenery and attracts many tourists who like tranquility.

I recommend two places, one quiet and one lively. Let’s see how you choose!

① Nanwan residential area. Nanwan is adjacent to the two main attractions of Crocodile Mountain and Dishui Danping.

Therefore, many B&Bs, hotels, and inns are clustered together, which makes it seem noisy. , it feels like being in a city. On the other hand, the prices of restaurants and inns here are generally more expensive than in other areas (somewhat pitiful). But success is Xiao He, and failure is Xiao He. Since we are here for vacation, too much excitement is not good. In addition, many tourists actually have the impression that the main attractions of Weizhou Island are here and the transportation is relatively convenient. In fact, this is not the case. On the one hand, the main attractions of Weizhou Island are scattered and not concentrated here. Secondly, on the island If you want to travel more deeply, you need to rent a tram, so it doesn’t matter where you stay.

② The area near Shell Beach is relatively quiet compared to Nanwan. There is no hustle and bustle of pedestrians and vehicles, and the quietness has a holiday atmosphere.

There are seafood markets near the Catholic Church and in Nanwan where you can buy seafood and process it yourself. The reference price of seafood is: clams 8~12 yuan/jin, abalone 3~5/oyster 2.5~3 yuan/ Pipi shrimp 20~35 yuan/jin, shrimp 50~55/jin grouper 40~45/jin crab 35~50/jin razor clam snail 25~30/jin fragrant snail 35~40/jin geoduck 20 ~25/catties.

After buying seafood, do not process it in the hotel in the seafood market. My impression is that the price is high and the workmanship is poor. It is best to bring fresh seafood to the hotel and ask the chef for the price. The processing fee for each dish is 7-15 yuan, depending on the difficulty. The most romantic thing I can think of is eating on Weizhou Island. ,

Life is a journey, we go from south to north and from east to west. Meet good people and complete good stories. On Weizhou Island, fall in love with the sea, let the fish be the witness, and let the fairy tale extend from dream to reality. A good story starts from Weizhou Island.
