Address: near No.89, No.264-Branch, Changgang East Road. Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts is the only art college in southern China. The school was formerly known as Central South Academy of Fine Arts, and 1953 was established in Wuhan, Hubei Province with the approval of the Ministry of Education. At that time, it was formed by the merger of relevant departments of Central South College of Literature and Art, South China People's College of Literature and Art and Guangxi Art College. 1958 Central South Academy of Fine Arts moved from Wuhan to Guangzhou and was renamed Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts. In 2004, the school built a new campus in Guangzhou University Town, forming a pattern of "one school and two districts". The school is now a provincial university in Guangdong Province.

Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, formerly known as Central South Academy of Fine Arts, was established in Wuhan, Hubei Province on 1953 according to the layout of national construction. It was formed by the merger of relevant departments and personnel of Central South College of Literature and Art, South China People's College of Literature and Art, Guangxi College of Art and other institutions. The first chairman was Hu Yichuan, a famous revolutionary artist who participated in the Yan 'an Forum on Literature and Art, and the first vice chairman was Yang, a famous oil painter and Yang Taiyang, a famous painter in China.

1958 Central South Academy of Fine Arts moved from Wuhan to Guangzhou and was renamed Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts. 198 1 was awarded the first batch of master's degrees in China, and began to recruit foreign, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan students in 1987.
