Behind-the-scenes tidbits of small town spring

Only one or two injections a day.

The shooting location is a residence in the late Ming Dynasty, and plays such as "Orange Red" and "April Day on Earth" have been filmed. The house was in tatters, and the crew spent money to renovate it. It became a house of a declining family, but it was gloomy without losing money.

In the dimly lit studio, Tian Zhuangzhuang is busy directing the staff, wearing the ordinary black T-shirt, black trousers and black square shoes that farmers often wear. Horse thief, Rock Youth and other films were written by Tian Zhuangzhuang. It's been 10 years since the last film was filmed, and Spring in a Small Town is his first work. 10 years have passed, and Tiandao has lost the passion and feeling of filming. When he regained his desire to shoot, he put all his efforts into it. On the set, he demonstrated to the actors hand in hand, as if he were the "jade pattern" and "ambition" in the play. The crew can only take one or two shots a day on average, and the actors have to repeat the same action ten to twenty times. There are only 100 shots in the whole drama, while the average film and television drama has more than 800 shots. Some TV series 1200 have more than one shot, and there are only five actors in the whole film.

Acheng is a carpenter.

The film "Spring in a Small Town" was shot in the picturesque dongshan town, Suzhou. At that time, Zhang Yimou's Shake, Shake, Shake to Waipo Bridge and Li's Orange Red both chose the location here. Tian Zhuangzhuang took a fancy to the old house when he chose the site. How to make this abandoned old house "turn decay into magic", Tian Zhuangzhuang thought of Acheng. Little known is that Acheng, which is famous for its chess king, actually has the unique skills of a carpenter. He often refreshes people with scenery and props. When he settled in the United States, he bought used cars and sold them after being modified by skillful hands. These unique "new cars" are very popular, and some people once bid $654,380,000 for them. This craft has become an important source of income for him in America. Speaking of this talent, Acheng proudly calls himself "childlike skill", which stems from his childhood hobby. He said: "Before shooting, I was responsible for all the scenery construction and props design except the character modeling." In order to restore the scene of that year, Acheng went to great lengths to find old furniture in Suzhou and Hangzhou. Finally, he bought, rented and borrowed, and it took him more than a month to finally find hundreds of "antiques" full of big houses.
