The previous songs were more thoughtful, but this time I just want to write something emotional and fleshy. Because feelings can't be caught, some living materials can be caught more; I used to look for something special, but I won't look for anything this time.
This part should be pushed to the time when I play a series (a TV unit drama with a small S station); At that time, they asked me to play Wu Bai, and I was puzzled: I am Wu Bai, why did I lose the role of Wu Bai? I'm here, no one knows … it makes me think. I think they still have some stereotypes, but I am not a fossil. I will change over and over again with age. So who should I go to when I write a song? And find yourself. I'm Wu Bai. I just need to write myself out and write out what I care about in my life. I don't need to find an attack force or a gesture like before. I don't want to create blindly: I just sing, which is the bridge of tears you are hearing now.

First, I recorded two songs, Stress (this song was not on this album after that) and Alive, and then I stopped filming. Come back and listen, it feels wrong! I'm not satisfied, so I pause for a moment and then reconsider.
Just like a day and a photo (referring to the depth of focus in composition), you can't focus on everything in front. It also needs something behind it and emotional flesh and blood to support it. So this time, I wrote the latter and emotional factors first; After reading it, I found that this record will have a strong sense of existence, like a person singing his world and the feelings of the people he picked up with your posture.
I didn't give anything special this time, just sang something that I found interesting and pleasant to listen to. It should be said that it is an invitation! Instead of giving. A friend said that my speech was inhalation, not radiation.
Defects are actually charm.
The biggest difference in this state of mind change is to truly admit yourself. I didn't deny it before. I used to want to create myself, but now I admit myself, all my strengths and weaknesses. I sometimes go out of tune, I can't play so well ... I don't want to sing well, so the pursuit of accuracy has become the center of the record.
As for going to the United States to mix, it is more generous to show the warmth of the song, not to emphasize anything, but to highlight the characteristics. Now when I hear the previous songs, I wonder why I sang so hard. After mixing, I found that this is a cheerful album, which presents both the good and the bad (very comfortable after admitting it), and I feel very good.
I will be Wu Bai, which means I must have my charm. I now find that a person's shortcomings are actually his charm; In fact, this record found its own flaw, that is charm. Admit this first, and finding a pair of outstretched hands to shake your hand in the record is an extra gain. After listening to my own, I found that the biggest difference is that singers care more about others than themselves, and there is a feeling of caring for others in the song. The production of "Bridge of Tears" album wants to pursue warm and humanized timbre. So Wu Bai gave up the computer recording software pro tools, which is widely used at present, and moved out the 24-channel recorder that everyone abandoned-more convenient than pro tools (easy to archive and small in size). The tape recorder recorded ten songs and produced five master tapes (each weighing more than ten kilograms), which was very labor-intensive. But in order to achieve the desired effect, we can only make such a choice. It is said that in recent years, with the upgrading of machines, it is very likely that only the cassette recorder of Moonlight Studio will be left in the studios of Taiwan Province Province.

Since the beginning of 2003, Wu Bai has been busy with some activities, including endorsing three advertisements and appearing in TV series. Therefore, the recording of "Bridge of Tears" is divided into three stages, and the time span is six months. Many songs were written by Wu Bai alone in the car or waiting at the shooting scene, and finally fourteen new songs were produced; However, due to the limited space of the album, I can only give up two songs. /kloc-After the recording in October, I chose to go to America.
Andhadhun Bill Schnee of Bridge of Tears album is Andhadhun who was in charge of Wu Bai's The End of Love seven years ago (he is a master, besides Whitney Houston and many other western superstars, he is also Andhadhun and Kazumasa Oda's good friend for twenty years). In recent ten years, with the emergence of most digital home studio recording studios, there are fewer and fewer analog recordings. He is not only a few world-class masters who can handle analog recording, but Bill is also good at handling warm timbre. So Wu Bai and recording engineer Kenny (Fan Naigang, Wu Bai's long-term cooperative recording engineer) flew to California with five stacks of master tapes.
In the studio, Bill Sheeni's way of recognizing Wu Bai is quite dramatic. Mr. Bill, who has released countless international albums, has a vague memory of Wu Bai released seven years ago, but when the music of the new album was released, Bill immediately said with an epiphany: "Ah! I know your voice, angry young man! You have made great progress now! " Bill immediately asked him why he hadn't come to see him for seven years. Wu Bai smiled and said, "Because you have done a good job, we want to do it ourselves. As a result, I tried it for seven years and found it impossible. "
Wu Bai worked with Bill in the studio for seven days, listening to the song mix down. The result was unexpected, and it seemed that he was waiting for the lucky draw every day. Bill Schnee gave this song a different perspective! Kenny, a fellow sound engineer, said, "If you were in Taiwan Province Province, no one would mix like this. The song processing is very 3D, very enjoyable! "
After finishing the album "mix down", Wu Bai signed on the wall of the studio; Write "You are in my music" to Bill.
