Is Nanjing Nightingale Nursing College a junior college?

Nanjing Nightingale Nursing College is not a junior college, but a higher vocational education.

Nanjing Nightingale Nursing College was established in 19 18, and signed a cooperation agreement with King's College London, England, to build a campus in the International Health City of Jiangbei National New District, Nanjing, and to build a world-class Nanjing Nightingale Nursing College.

There are classrooms, laboratories, libraries, student dormitories, international nursing research centers, apartments for overseas students and foreign experts, and apartments for training nursing experts. It is planned to be completed and put into use in June 20 18.

With the deepening of the reform of the national vocational education system, the college complied with the market demand and signed a modern apprenticeship training agreement with Beijing Medical University for two majors: medical imaging technology and medical laboratory technology.

Present situation of higher vocational education:

There is no special law on higher vocational education in China, and most of the existing laws and regulations on higher vocational education are objective and principled, lacking specific operability, which leads to many substantive problems related to higher vocational development that cannot be implemented due to lack of legal basis.

From 1996, the gross enrollment rate of higher education in China is only 6%. In 2002, it reached the critical point of elite stage and popularization stage of higher education, and in 2005, it rose to 2 1%, with an average annual growth of 10. 5 percentage points. Among them, the rapid development of higher vocational education has played a fundamental and decisive role.

Higher vocational education is the abbreviation of higher vocational education. The Decision of the Central Committee of the State Council on Deepening Education Reform and Promoting Quality Education in an All-round Way issued in June 1999 defines higher vocational education as an important part of higher education.
