What are the basic skills of shooting natural scenery?

Lead: Natural scenery photos have always been the favorite of many photographers, and we are no exception! But how can you shoot people with momentum? Take a popular sentence now: the high-end atmosphere is up to grade! So how do you shoot high-end natural scenery photos in the atmosphere? The following is the basic skills of shooting natural scenery that I have carefully arranged for you. Welcome to refer to them!

(1) Large aperture can be made into shallow depth of field, and small aperture can be made into deep depth of field. In most cases, you want the scene to be clear and sharp, so the commonly used aperture value is below f/8 (such as f/ 16), so that the scene in the photo will not be blurred because the aperture is too large.

Equipment: canon 5D Mark II [canon digital camera] lens: canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM.

Equipment: canon 5D Mark III [canon digital camera] lens: canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM.

(2) Use a tripod because the aperture is narrowed, so the shutter speed will slow down. In order to prevent the camera from being affected by hand shock, we'd better use a tripod to shoot, especially in the case of insufficient light.

(3) A good composition is a college question. Novice photographers can pay more attention to the combination of foreground, middle scene and background when taking landscape photos, and the effect will be more balanced and deeper. We will discuss the composition in detail in future articles.

(4) Photographing the dynamics of nature There are actually many moving things in nature, such as flowers and trees blown by the wind, magnificent waterfalls or gurgling water. We can capture these natural scenery with a slow shutter, and remember to install a tripod when shooting running water.

(5) Making good use of prime time means about half an hour before and after sunrise and sunset. At this time, the sun is near the horizon, and the scattering of light through the clouds becomes very soft. The color temperature in the sky changes from warm to cold or golden yellow, forming a magical effect, so it is also called illusion. But beautiful things are usually short-lived, so if you want to shoot the scenery in prime time, you should plan the time and place well.

(6) nature can shoot in any weather, not just when the sky is clear. In fact, in the case of rain, thunderstorm and typhoon, the scenery will have different special performances. We can try to take pictures in this weather.

(7) Pay attention to the horizontal line. Horizontal lines are more important when taking landscape photos. Pay attention to whether the horizontal line is straight and whether the golden section is used well. Everyone must pay attention.

(8) change the perspective. In the previous article 12, we mentioned that you can shoot from a high place or from a low place. In fact, this can also be applied to landscape shooting. Trying to shoot from different angles will make the photos more interesting and special!

(9) Make good use of guide wires. Guiding line refers to the line composed of scenery that guides the reader's attention to a specific theme, such as winding paths, a row of railings on the roadside, and even traffic lampposts. Such photos are often interesting and have a "theme". Beginners should look for such "guidance lines" more often.

(10) Use an appropriate ISO value. Unless the light is really dark or the wind is too strong to make the flowers move, it is best to use the lowest ISO value (such as ISO 100 or ISO200) when taking pictures of the wind, and if necessary, cooperate with a tripod to keep the scenery detailed and sharp. Shooting RAW files is also conducive to later modification.
