Why did Khrushchev knock on the table with his leather shoes?

Khrushchev is an emotional person. When he attended the meeting of the permanent members of the United Nations Security Council, he was dissatisfied with capitalist countries such as the United States and Britain, so he knocked on the table with his shoes.
