Personal photography concept

My photographic point of view

A while ago, I saw a post posted by a photographer who takes portraits for a living ..... Let's call it "photographer" for the time being. I don't think highly of his films, but I'm not familiar with portrait photography, and I can't say anything bad, and the randomness is not worth discussing, so I won't answer any more. Later, he said he didn't like my photos, which is the difference between amateurs and professionals. I have no problem with that. I am an amateur, and there is indeed a big gap between me and professional photographers in terms of technology and understanding. But I don't agree with what he said, "This shooting technique is that everyone stands there and shoots." I don't think landscape photography is much simpler than portraits and documentaries.

First of all, you have to be there. It's a very hard and interesting thing, crossing mountains and rivers to sleep. It may be easy to press the shutter there, but you didn't go, others went, and others pressed the shutter. This is the premise, this is the difference. People who wander around the city all day don't get a chance to simply press the shutter. It's really meaningless to say that I want to shoot better there.

Second, when you get there, you have to wait patiently, which depends on your personality and cultivation. You arrive somewhere at the same time, but different people get different photos. Taking landscape photos requires meditation and patience.

Third, the understanding and experience of equipment requires a long period of practice and exploration, which cannot be mastered overnight. People's talents are different, but it takes time to get familiar with them in order to make the best use of them.

Fourth, it is not difficult to understand the basic knowledge of composition. Just need some time to deliberately change and strengthen their own shooting methods, and gradually become a subconscious choice. This will not affect your personality and thinking, but will only make your movies more interesting.

Fifth, we should know the influence of light on photos. Light is the basis of light and shade and color. Not everyone can have time to deeply understand the characteristics of light and the photographic principle of the camera, but at least we should know the simple knowledge of the changes brought by the intensity and angle of light and what photos are taken at different time periods. It is not difficult to master these basic knowledge.

Sixth, understanding the changes of different perspectives will involve some theories of visual psychology, which do not need special study, but we still need to master some basic knowledge. How to choose objects, foreground, middle scene and background? Many people are suddenly at a loss when they raise their cameras in the face of beautiful scenery. Why are the things they shoot so different from what they see or want to show? It is necessary to know the difference between a camera and an eye. For example, someone asked me, "I want to go to the seaside in Qingdao." Why can't I take aerial photos of the vast sea? How can we get the effect? " By the way, since we know that aerial photography can bring different visual impact, let's try to change the plane position under the existing conditions, which is nothing more than a little adjustment and pay more for the journey.

Seventh, reverence and love for nature, if you don't love nature, you can't shoot well.

Of course, there are still many factors that affect the quality of photos, and they will not be exhausted for a while. I just think that people who like photography don't need to use such words to excuse their low level: "I can shoot whatever I want, this is me, this is my style, and I hate dogma." This is naive, photography is fun and will fade away because it is not long. Why?
