The 15th day of the first lunar month is held in Haizhou District, Lianyungang City every year. Haizhou Lantern Festival has a long history. In the antique park, visitors can enjoy all kinds of colorful lanterns, folk entertainment performances and flower exhibitions in Haizhou.

Lianyungang Donghai is an important crystal producing area in China, with an annual output of more than 500 tons, accounting for half of the national output, and is known as the "hometown of crystals". It is held in Ganyu County from June 24th to 26th every year. Xu Fu was an alchemist in Qin Dynasty. He was sent by Qin Shihuang to lead 3,000 boys and girls to the sea to seek the elixir of life. They crossed the ocean and arrived in Japan. They helped the Japanese ancestors to realize their farming life with "five grains" and "various skills" and taught them advanced science and technology such as sericulture and reeling, so they were regarded as the gods of farming by the Japanese.

In order to commemorate this historical feat and develop the cross-sea Hongqiao established by the ancestors of the two countries, Lianyungang City holds the Xufu Festival in Xufu's hometown every year, and the activities include sacrificial ceremonies, antique music and dance performances, float parades, Xufu seminars, economic and trade negotiations and so on.
