It is found that some hot extracts of mushrooms can emit light once they are mixed with cold extracts of fluorescent mushrooms, because these hot extracts contain fluorescein precursors and cold extracts contain luciferase. Because luciferase is not expressed, the luciferase precursor of non-fluorescent mushrooms is not consumed, and its content is more than 100 times that of fluorescent mushrooms.
