Silver Silver Lake Mountain Night Run

The 2017 Silver Lake Mountain Night Challenge is mainly based on the classic routes of Silver Lake Mountain, and also includes excellent cross-country routes that few runners are familiar with. For in-depth experience, the Shenzhen Trail Running League (UTST) initiated and hosted The fourth exciting event. The activity starts and ends at Bantian Fishing Ground. It starts from Bantian Fishing Ground, passes through Yinhu Quarry, Jigong Ridge, Jikui Stone, Jinhu Road, Yinhu Road, Acacia Forest Park, etc., and reaches the end point via Yinhu Greenway. , a total distance of 27 kilometers, with a total climb of 1,300 meters.

Before I went to Jiangle, Fujian for cross-country, my cross-country goddess, the crazy girl, had been trying to get me to sign up for the Yinhu Mountain night run on August 5. She also encouraged me to go to Xiamen University for the cross-country run at Jiangle. Xiao C, a famous runner, abducted him to participate in the Silver Lake Mountain night run. During the fun period, the beautiful little girl C was not tempted by our alumni and said a classic saying: No travel expenses for cross-country activities exceeding 50 kilometers! Okay, great master, you are awesome, you are willing to give in! I failed to complete the task given by the off-road goddess, so I had to go shirtless. I was afraid that I would be abandoned by the unreliable off-road goddess on the mountain if I walked too slowly, so I decisively persuaded Qiongmi to sign up and walk with me.

On the afternoon of August 5th, Qiongmi and I went to Shekou to participate in Brother Wen Wei’s Tai Chi activity, and then we hurriedly took the subway to Bantian Fishing Ground. Due to a miscalculation of the ride time, it was already the starting time when we arrived at the starting point, leaving the off-road goddess Ai Kuang and Zhang Wei and Ling Rong to have a good meal! I didn’t catch up with the alumni to take photos at the starting point.

? The starting gun sounded, and we were still storing bags and checking in. We saw our MuMu alumni working as staff at the check-in gate, so we quickly grabbed them to take a group photo at the starting point, and then we left without thinking about eating. Open the outdoor assistant navigation and hurry up to get started.

? Starting from Bantian Fishing Ground, we passed Bantian Reservoir, the farmhouse where Liao Shuai often took us to eat native chicken reservoir fish, and Silver Lake Quarry and other places. On the way, I met a lone traveler from the Nankai Running Group, and was picked up by a big fellow who was a closed rabbit and his volunteer Jinglan Meimei. Qiongmi and I ran forward as fast as we could.

Since we took the subway after participating in the Tai Chi activity in the afternoon and didn’t have time to eat, Qiong Mi and I were so hungry that our eyes were dazzled. Fortunately, I brought two energy blocks and quickly shared them with Qiong Mi. Eat to cushion your stomach to calm down. At this time, Zhang Wei called and said to walk slowly ahead and wait for us so that we could catch up. We chased him all the way.

When going up to Jigongling, there is a section of the hillside that is quite steep and requires a safety rope to climb up. After finally climbing to CP1 at Jigongling, we finally had something to eat. Qiongmi and I quickly drank water and filled our water bags. At this time, a fellow traveler reminded us to turn off our headlights when we reach the CP point to avoid disturbing other people. We quickly I turned off the headlight and ate two more pieces of bread, raisins, and watermelon, and then set off quickly.

? After passing CP1 and going up the mountain, Zhang Wei called me at the top of the mountain, but because the signal on the mountain was not good, I couldn't get through. Only then did I remember the benefits of the walkie-talkie. It was completely dark by this time, and without headlights I couldn’t see the road and reflective streamers under my feet. According to the big brother's previous reminder, slightly raise the light beam of the headlight so that it can easily illuminate the reflective streamer in front. There are reflective streamers or frog lights of various colors at regular intervals on the mountain to guide the way. Follow the directions of the reflective streamers and frog lights to avoid getting lost.

Thanks to Qiongmi who kept giving me blood injections and accompanying me along the way. Because Qiongmi took care of me along the way, I accidentally stepped on a loose stone when I was going down the mountain for 9 kilometers and my feet were sprained. Sorry, tears of pain almost flowed out. At this time, the big guy came up again. I quickly asked the big guy where there was a place to descend. The big guy said that the only way to find the car was to go all the way to the greenway. For safety reasons, I persuaded Qiongmi to take a taxi back to the finish line when we got down to the greenway, but she in turn comforted me and said it was okay. We would check again when we got to the greenway, and then we walked more cautiously along the way.

When we went down to the greenway near the Armed Police Hospital, I wanted to take a taxi and follow Qiongmi back to the finish line, but Qiongmi was unwilling to give up the race and kept trotting all the way, unable to catch up. The apprentices taught by Liao Shuai are amazing. Because the greenway after going down the mountain passes through several residential areas, the reflective streamers and frog lights along the way are nowhere to be seen. I don’t know if they were taken away by the urban management or taken away by children for fun. Fortunately, I had an outdoor assistant to navigate and I didn’t go in the wrong direction. We basically trotted all the way to cp2 in Acacia Forest Park. When we reached cp2, Qiongmi still insisted on accompanying me throughout the entire race and refused to give up. We quickly ate some watermelon and bread, replenished water and set off.

At this time, apart from the staff, the only ones continuing to move forward were a few of us participating travelers. Since there were few people at night, for safety reasons we basically all walked together, no more than 100 meters in front and back. On the way, because the headlight was not bright enough and could not illuminate the reflective ribbon indicating ahead, I quickly replaced it with the endurance battery issued by the organizing committee. Using the endurance battery, the brightness was brighter than the original Energizer battery, and the irradiation distance was also farther.

After changing the headlamp battery, we continued to move forward. The traveler from the Nankai Running Group who had been walking in front probably had insufficient headlamp brightness and could not see the reflective ribbon, so he went a short distance wrong. Fortunately, we followed him quickly and called him. Come back and take the right route.

Due to insufficient physical reserves before the game and not eating dinner, the previous mountain climbing consumed too much energy, and the steps were unsteady in the end. Moreover, due to the low temperature on the mountain late at night, the grass on the roadside was covered with dew. It was stepped on by the great gods who passed by before, making the path on the mountain muddy. At this time, the consequences of the usual lack of leg training appeared. I fell down three times and was cut by the grass on the roadside. In the end, I had to squat down and slide all the way down. I really feel like I have no love in my life. Who brought me into this trap? I ran away on my own and had to finish masturbating with tears in my eyes!

Finally arrived at cp3, and the staff was really excited with tears in their eyes. I hurriedly ate, ate, ate... I ate 2-3 more pieces of watermelon.

After eating the watermelon in cp3, we quickly set off towards the finish line. Since it was a continuous downhill road, everyone recovered some strength in cp3 and jogged down the mountain in small steps while talking and laughing. When we were approaching the foot of the mountain, a flash of light suddenly struck us. It turned out to be the dedicated GD Lao Wang (not the Lao Wang next door) who had been squatting here until two o'clock, insisting on taking photos and leaving good memories for the travel friends who had not yet finished the race. At this time Everyone was deeply moved by Lao Wang’s professionalism and praised his handiwork. Later, I learned that GD Lao Wang accidentally dropped his camera because it was dark and couldn't see clearly. Fortunately, thanks to the good fortune and good fortune, nothing happened to him.

After entering Sakata Fishing Ground, we were finally near the finish line. We ran hard together and rushed to the victory line.

During this night run on Silver Lake Mountain, I feel like I still have a lot of thoughts and personal experiences that I want to write down for your reference.

1. It is very important to wear a headlamp when participating in night running. A flashlight is a burden when running on the mountain at night. It does not release your hands to help balance and climb. A headlamp is more suitable for mountain climbing. The headlight pole should be adjusted appropriately to illuminate the reflective ribbon in front of you, making it less likely to go the wrong way; when you reach the cp point, remember to turn off the headlight so as not to disturb others; you must have a spare battery. If you don’t have a spare battery, your headlight will run out of power on the mountain. It is easy to lose direction and be in danger if you are blind and unable to see the road. It is recommended to use durable batteries with stable voltage and long discharge time, making the headlights brighter and able to illuminate further.

2. Open the outdoor assistant to import the event track navigation. If you take the wrong route, the outdoor assistant will promptly remind you to correct the route. Especially since outdoor events are easily affected by weather, mountain landslides, and road closures, the route will be appropriately adjusted before the event. The correct trajectory of the event must be introduced the day before the event, otherwise it is easy to be misled.

3. You must go together when participating in night running. Most people are naturally afraid of the dark. Runners who get lost with a large group of people will easily get scared if they are alone in the wilderness, which will affect the competition. Moreover, if you have a partner, you can chat with each other. , improve the completion rate.

4. It is best to be equipped with a walkie-talkie when running at night, especially when running at night with several companions. The speed before and after is different. In the wilderness, the mobile phone signal is not good, it is difficult to communicate with each other, and it is difficult to look after each other. Walkie-talkies Can ensure communication between peers.

5. It is best to wear gloves when running at night. When running at night, your vision is not good and people's reactions are not so quick. You need to use your hands to help prevent falls.

6. When participating in night running, you must eat in advance to replenish energy. Night running requires a lot of exercise, and an empty stomach can easily cause hypoglycemia and physical exhaustion and accidents. It is best to eat more foods such as steamed buns and bread.

7. Eating watermelon can quench your thirst. Before, when I drank too much water during the Jiangle Cross Country, I was full of water, which affected my running. Eating two more pieces of watermelon can quench your thirst, replenish sugar, and satisfy your hunger. Not even able to hold a belly full of water.

8. Kinesio tape is easier to use than knee braces. It is very helpful to the knees and will not easily cause knee pain. However, it should be used with caution if the skin is sensitive.
