The skill of shooting water droplets, how to realize the collision of water droplets

1. Select a basin filled with water. The color of the washbasin depends on your preference. First, fill the washbasin with water, put the washbasin on the stool, hang a plastic bottle, and open a hole under the bottle to let the water drip down slowly. Then find a small electrical tape to control the speed and direction of water flow.

2. Support the camera on a tripod, and the height of the camera should be slightly higher than the basin. If the camera position is too high, it will become a top view angle, and it is not easy to show the shape of water droplets. It's better to use an off-board flash, but unfortunately I don't have one, so I have to use my own flash.

3, pay attention to control the speed of water droplets. Different dripping speeds will produce different dripping effects. I think it is more appropriate to control the dropping speed at about one drop per second. You can try different dropping speeds when shooting, which may have unexpected effects.

4. Pay attention to the height of water droplets. If the drop is too small, the splashing height of water drops will be small, and it is not easy to produce effects; If the gap is too big, the spray will splash, and the camera will get wet easily. Try it before shooting and observe the splash effect of water droplets until the debugging is satisfactory. Splashed water droplets (or water columns) will take on different shapes due to different water droplets. I think the gap is 30 ~ 50 cm.

5. shoot m files, and the shutter should be fast enough. However, the solidification of falling water droplets does not depend on the shutter speed, but on the exposure time. The shutter does not play a major role in this exposure time, and the decisive moment is determined by the flash.

6. Use manual focusing. Because it's too late to use autofocus when the water drops down. You can preset the position of the water drop above the water surface, put something, use the camera to focus automatically, and then switch to the manual focusing file, so that the focus is fixed. I put my hand on the position of the water drop to focus automatically. After locking the focus, I switched to manual focus.

7. Take more photos in the way of continuous shooting, and choose.

8. The lens is a macro lens, and I use Longteng SP.

90MM macro lens.
