After a painting and calligraphy work is completed, it needs to be mounted in the traditional form to show the hanging collection, which is what we usually see as axle mounting. Due to historical reasons and people's appreciation habits, vertical shaft is the most popular form and has the most styles. This installation is usually done through the following procedures:

1, painting heart: spread the original painting of calligraphy and painting on the painting case, brush it with paste, support a layer of backing paper, and then brush the paste around to dry it on the upper board.

2, square painting heart: take off the dried painting, find the diagonal line, cut off the excess paper edge.

3. Embroidering: Cut the silk supported in advance, insert it around the center of the painting according to the required size, and leave the edges on both sides at the gap of the celestial pole axis.

4. Cover the back paper: spread the picture frame inlaid with silk upside down on the book case, spray water, flatten it, brush it, and then brush raw rice paper on the back.

5. Wall hanging: suck the frame interface with the backing paper once or twice with a rice paper head, so that the interface can be kept dry after being boarded to prevent cracking. Then brush the remaining paper paste on the edge of the frame and dry it on the upper plate.

6. Waxing and calendering: put the dried painting on the wooden board, spread it on the book case with the reverse side facing, lightly press it on the back of the painting with ordinary paraffin, and then press it with pebbles (remove the pebbles on the back of the painting when pressing with stones to prevent the painting from being crushed when pressing with stones).

7. Upper shaft and rod: remove the redundant paper edge of the calender frame and insert the upper shaft and the ground shaft.

After the above process, a painting is mounted. Of course, the above is only a few main processes of painting and calligraphy mounting. A complete mounting process actually requires more than ten to twenty processes. This is just to give readers a preliminary understanding of painting and calligraphy mounting. If you want to do or engage in this line by yourself, you need special study and practice.

In addition, with the changes of people's living environment and the layout of calligraphy and painting works, some works are more suitable for mounting. Its advantages are:

1, which is more suitable for modern room structure and modern aesthetics.

2. The picture frame can protect the painting and calligraphy works more effectively, avoid contact with the air, and prevent yellowing or pollution.

What I said earlier is the traditional manual mounting. With the development of the times, mechanical mounting is also very common in recent years, which is characterized by short mounting time, flat stretching after mounting, and is not easy to be uneven due to dry and wet weather changes. However, high-value calligraphy and painting products are still suitable for traditional manual mounting.

Hope to adopt. Thank you.
