Synopsis: American love story in Tokyo

bob harris (bill murray) is an out-of-date TV star. He has been down and out for many years, and he was lucky to take a photo recently. Charlotte (Scarlett Johansson) is the young wife of a photographer (Giovanni Ribisi). Her busy husband always ignores her, so she comes to Tokyo for fun.

Charlotte and Harris stayed in the same luxury hotel in Tokyo. One sleepless night, they walked into the hotel bar, so two bored people met. They chatted while drinking, and the lonely men and women from America found many topics in common, and soon became good friends and spent the sleepless night together.

Soon after, they got to know another American in Tokyo-a beautiful young film actress Kelly (played by Anna Faris). Three good friends often get together to party with the Japanese in Tokyo and have a happy weekend holiday.
